Now that everything is pretty much over, what are your thoughts on Stanford Law?

Umm, it's the best fucking school in the entire goddamned world. I will be there this fall and am personally just grateful that I get to post in the C/O 2019 thread, where we actually have a real OP in fliptrip. Eat caca and die, Dcc617. Your parents hate you.

It's chill bro, but I was already set on Harvard or Yale anyway. I got my shades on to block out all that shade from CA. Enjoy the earthquakes, hippies.

I personally can't stand Stanford, its administration, and especially its admissions office. I waited patiently for 4-7 months only to get waitlisted or rejected less than a week before May. Seriously, go home Stanford, you're drunk (unless you accept me off the waitlist, then I will love you)

Meh, I mean, this was a total long shot for me. I just wanted to see what would happen. This is what I thought would happen.

I'm totally indifferent to Stanford, because I am super happy with the option I am going with. Grow up, Dcc617. You're embarrassing yourself with this poll.

I will be Seymour Asses from Futurama, and Stanford is my Fry. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS? I WILL FUCKING DIE ON THE WAITLIST!

I am a lurker. I may not have even applied anywhere this cycle. My motives for lurking this thread are entirely inscrutable and apparently I have nothing better to do with my life.

Dcc617, stop making every other poll option about yourself. While you are very handsome, your constant narcissism and self-indulgence has become off-putting.

If a specific data point will make you feel better, I got into Stanford very early and have received zero named scholarship love from Columbia. So it's definitely extremely doable.
I got into Stanford a couple weeks ago and haven't heard anything from Columbia despite interviewing over 2 months ago...YMMV
I don't think I would do it *this* early, but it might at some point be helpful to update Columbia with your admissions. I had the opposite problem (well, not with Columbia)... I wanted to go to Stanford and they still hadn't given me a decision by April 17th (I submitted my app early jan), so I sent them an update saying "Hey, I got into Yale and Harvard, but I really want to go to Stanford..."* and got my call the next day.

*Note, obviously don't misrepresent your intentions. I did really want to go to Stanford.

Yeah, I don't think I'd choose Columbia over my other options, so I wouldn't do that. But it is sort of curious. Interesting result on your end, though.

Same situation, except no interview for Columbia. Columbia is the only school I'm waiting on (besides Yale, but I only sent that in Jan.). A lot of people in CLS are in same position, albeit with H instead of S.

So, all crickets this week from Stanford, except for a little movement on Monday?

Here's hoping that we get a nice big wave of acceptances next week!

Did some LSN stalking last night--last year Stanford offered admission to December applicants the 3rd week of February.

As far as i'm aware it means Decision Letter Sent, and if you haven't heard anything (i.e got the call), its a ding.

Waitlist/denial.

If you get DLS without call/email, it means you are getting a letter in the mail with the denial or waitlist.

And I think you can give them a call and they will tell you for sure.

Noooooooooo. My condolences, and hopefully you guys already have other great options to choose from :)

Is this the first time that Stanford has dinged/waitlisted people? Sorry, I haven't followed this thread too closely. Will they send out more DLS today or are we safe for now?

Fairly certain this is the first wave of dings on this thread so far (unless I missed something). Judging by lack of further movement in this thread/no spreadsheet updates/nothing on LSN, I sincerely hope we are safe for now; then again it's only 2 p.m. in Palo Alto right now...

It has begun  But I think we're probably safe for now... Good luck to everyone still waiting!

I'm thinking this week is make or break for me. Applied around 11/18, went complete 11/20. According to LSN, people that were accepted with my submit date heard back this week. Those who didn't were, at best, wait-listed or denied in the following weeks.

Here's hoping!

Don't give up hope until your status checker says DLS! Just think of every day passing without a rejection as a sweet sweet blessing from the Stanford adcomms.
