Thanks... I thought so, too, but I, like many on TLS, get the occasional case of paranoia.

Blank next to "Decision Date"

Perfect, that's me as well. Paranoia is passed

Thanks much.

had my off campus interview earlier this week and just went complete.
for those who are going to have an off campus interview, here are some tips that I would have found useful:
-if you don't have significant work experience, be prepared to explain why you are still a qualified candidate (significant being 2-3 years minimum)
-definitely know the school as if you would know the company you are interviewing at for a job
-went through my entire resume step by step
-was asked for leadership examples
-what other law schools and why
-why chicago
hope this helps and good luck everyone!

Mine's like that too, but I thought it always was. Are you sure you ever had one? Maybe I just forgot.

Probably freaking out over nothing. Anyways I applied RD and I guess it is too early to expect a decision from NU just based off of the threads from the last few years.
Sorry for the needless hype!
C'mon man now you got me excited! When have decisions been released in the past?

in last years thread it looks like there were a few waves in December (December 9 and December 18/19 I think?)
also looks like RDers got decisions along with EDers too

So not too crazy to think this might mean news soon. Of course, it could mean nothing as well. But that's a lot less fun.

You can see I asked about the dates last page; seems like everyone has gone "dateless" on their status checker. I don't think anyone heard back on 12/9 last year - admittedly I didn't look *too* closely at last year's thread, but I think it was later, maybe 12/19. There's a general thread (
http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 2&t=238318) though I don't know these are 100% accurate, either. I, like you guys, am really exited for Northwestern...

ah you are correct, there were none on the 9th I have no idea why I thought that...
the first acceptance in last years thread was on the 18th though, so still a few weeks away

I was incomplete with a date of 11/2. I just went complete and the date is gone.
You are not imagining things.

It's literally the most awkward thing that's ever happened to me in my entire life. That said, I'm sure they also realize that it's going to be awkward for anyone who isn't a professional vlogger and take it in context.

My ed app is in. I think decisions will start happening in the next week or so now that the data on applications and where the increases in test takers has been released
Eta
That is pure speculating on my part. I've been complete for about a month on my decision status and did an on campus interview.

Did an on-campus interview. It was phenomenal. My interviewer was a current student that is killing the game. We basically had a back and forth conversation of question/answer peppered in with anecdotal experiences. Totally turned on by this school. Number one, without a doubt.

Would you say that the list of interview questions in the earlier thread (I think NW 2012-13 or something) is still mostly accurate? Or did you prepare for it in some other way?
I didn't prepare, and I think it came across as more genuine. Also, my interview was atypical as we went over time by 15 minutes and just conversed more than anything else. My interviewer asked Why Law, Why W/E after UG, and what do I think would be the biggest challenge when in LS. I told them why NU before they asked.

goodbye, NU.
I have seen positively 0 accounts of this online interview process going well for people. Whose idea was it to time questions so sharply? Either you come in under the 1 min and sit there silently being awkward, or you go over and they don't record your whole response. Plus, while my internet is fine for Skype (which is what I thought the format would be), it's NOT good enough for a 1min timed and recorded setting. It glitches sometimes and freezes, only for a second or two, but that would be enough to completely throw off the recording. The whole thing terrifies me to the extent that I actually emailed NU to ask if I could switch to an off-campus interview with an alum. 0/10 looking forward to this video thing if they say no...

FWIW, I had no issues with the software, and I didn't find the formal to be all that weird. If you're self-confident in speaking, especially with a webcam (which I know is foreign to people), I'd reassume people that it's really not that bad at all. In fact, I think it was sort of fun - no one leaves alumni interviews feeling anything less than good, and schools no that, but I think there's a chance at differentiation with the online interview.

While that does make me feel a little better, software isn't what I'm worried about - my internet connection is. :/ If my internet freezes for 2 seconds during the recorded portion, I then have to figure out where it froze so I can repeat what I said while it was frozen, and I've automatically lost at least 2 seconds to answer, not to mention being thrown off my flow. (Of course 2 seconds in the long run isn't a lot, but if it happens more than once...you see the point at least.)

Yeah... That sounds awful. This is quite lame, but I think being in a long distance relationship has made me feel used to video chat - and forced me to get a 75 Mbps connection. Maybe you can go to a friend's house? Work? Or use your phone's connection?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
