I take it as general happiness, but the hallmark of a truly great poll option is that everyone can make it their own.Hildegard15 wrote:Just out of curiosity, what is the poll referring to with the "high quality of life" option? Is it mainly COL? This may seem like a dumb question, but I've only heard the phrase used when talking about jobs so I just associate it with how flexible a company/career is.

That made me laugh out loud.benwyatt wrote:No problem!WhiteHouse wrote: Great, thanks! Now I won't spend the remainder of the day refreshing my screen
Embrace the lack of information.
Yesterday I got my Duke decision and when I got the "Decision made;watch for email" notification on the status checker I lost my mind refreshing my email for the next hour until I got my decision.
I even paid $30 for a taxi back home instead of taking the train because I didn't want to lose service

Did everyone who's been accepted write a "Why UVA?"
I didn't write one.

I did. UVA is really big on them, they want to know that you want to be there.Scalvert wrote:Did everyone who's been accepted write a "Why UVA?"

I didn't write a specific "Why UVA" essay, I just incorporated some reasons into my personal statement. I left room in my PS to add "Why X" info at the end.Scalvert wrote:Did everyone who's been accepted write a "Why UVA?"

I got in yesterday very soon after my interview concluded, you can PM me for more details if you want.

So would it be worse to not submit one at all, or to send it separately and just say I forgot to attach it (which seems like another bad option).
