I still haven't even gotten a status check yet and I submitted 10 days ago. I emailed admissions and they said they are still processing. Howcome it didn't take this long for anyone else?!

I believe the status checker comes once everything is received and processed. It isn't very helpful anyway, it just tells you that your app is complete and then later a few days after you get an admission call. I'd assume that at this point they're getting a higher volume of applications and so processing is taking longer.

I actually never got a call, so the status checker was my only indication I got in until a letter two weeks later.

After my first complete date, my status checker never changed until I was admitted (it was even a day or two late in updating that too).

Because 10 (and 12) days ago they were still on vacation. And as anyone who has worked long enough to accrue vacation time (or had a long holiday like the offices at the law school do) can tell you, returning from two weeks off is a bear to catch up with.

I haven't gotten it yet, but my original acceptance letter said nothing about it. Over the phone I was told to expect a follow up letter in mid to late January.

Does anyone know if the date for UT's admitted students day/weekend has been announced yet? Sorry if it has been discussed in this thread already, but I can't seem to find it anywhere on here or on their website.

I try to keep all dates and everything updated in the Class of 2017 Thread

From what I've gathered they're doing regional events rather than one big one at the uni. I would assume this is so they don't have to pay travel stipends. I may just not have heard anything yet, but on the facebook page that's what they said.

The dean also mentioned scholarship info would be mailed. I'm bummed I missed her call, because she seemed super sweet!

The Austin days so far are 20-21 March, although Dean Ingram also just mentioned a Summer admitted student event as well in a Facebook post. There are regional Admitted Student Days too. Dallas - Jan. 29, DC - Feb. 4, NYC - Feb. 5, and Houston - Feb. 20.
