The Alligator: Undergrads, stay out of the law library.
2L TURNUP
And the bathrooms after the undergrads have passed through? It’s as if some enterprising undergrad filled a spackling bucket with rotten eggs, Cantina fish bowls, Italian Gator pizza and several strands of used toilet paper, then dumped it on the bathroom floor and left it to fester for a weekend. The horrors are unspeakable.
Since there’s really nothing we can do, law students are forced to glare meaningfully at the encroaching undergrads.
“She doesn’t even go here!” is a common refrain.

LOL. The comments are almost as funny as the article.

Hey everyone, I just received an email saying they re-reviewed my file, and offered me a scholarship. Apologized and whatnot. So my advice to everyone waiting on $$$, email them. Be patient and understanding. It pays off, literally.

Same here! UF just returned to the front of the pack for me. Maybe our TLS-outrage helped motivate them?

Nice guys! I'm still waiting on my letter. I hope there is scholarship info in the letter! Applying late sucks. :-/

I'm convinced we made this happen --- the power of TLS!
Sorry cricket love, I know you just withdrew. That's a major bummer. Maybe they'll take you back? It's happened before.

Don't take this the wrong way, but it's probably your LSAT. I'd imagine they're chasing them right now. I'm a splitter, so that would explain it.
If you have a nice offer to Emory take it and run! That's a wonderful school that can get you back to Florida, if you desire.

Anyone still sitting in 'Comparative Review' limbo? Been here since the beginning of February and getting real tired of UF right now.

Submitting your app in Feb is considered late for most schools. That's more your fault than UF's

All paperwork was in January 21. They switched to Comparative Review in February. But thanks for being rude, appreciate it.

Wasn't being rude, just pointing out that submitting late January, or even early Feb is usually not recommended. You more than likely have a number of apps in front of you who submitted earlier.

hahaha if that's the case, then they know exactly who we are (or at least me). Probably thinking "why did they have to open their big mouths?!"
I'm wondering if negotiating scholarships with UF is out of the question, considering the nature of the offer? FSU's $$$ is just slightly better ($1000 more/year), and UF's tuition is just slightly higher. Thoughts?

Is it a complete waste of time to try and negotiate money out of UF if I'm at both medians? (GPA slightly above) I do have offers from closely ranked schools that would save me a good amount of money over three years...

Well then UF ends up off my list ultimately because I don't have time for their admissions games, which you cannot deny they enjoy playing for both undergraduate and graduate applications.

It's not cool to blame applicants hoping to get accepted.
Good luck to you racqueld

Thanks. Between waiting to hear and my senior engineering project I might as well start just pulling my hair out.
