I'm leaning more towards W&M because, from what I have read, they pad their numbers a lot less. I think that W&M's dip in rank is temporary bc the lack of numbers padding. Also name recognition. I have a SO that needs a job and at least Williamsburg is sort of commuting distance between Richmond and Newport News (not great but better than Lexington). That being said, W&L just shot a giant money cannon at me so that might be a deciding factor between the two.talesofyore wrote:I've also gotten into both W&M and W&L, but I'm leaning way more towards W&L. To those of you who are also accepted to both, but who prefer W&M, can you please tell me why? Thanks.
W&M has greater name recognition? I thought it was the other way around.rabbitrun wrote:I'm leaning more towards W&M because, from what I have read, they pad their numbers a lot less. I talked to her. Very dull conversation. The most personal thing she said was, "We sent the packet to your [my city] address."drive4showLSAT4dough wrote:Got a voicemail from the dean tonight about W&m. Has anybody spoken with her? Wondering if it was an actual conversation or just reading from the script
After listening to the voicemail, I was glad that I couldn't answer the phone. Nothing against W&M. I hate talking on the phone.TripTrip wrote:I talked to her. Very dull conversation. Anyone else have any info/experience with this? I know W&L doesn't negotiate, but I haven't heard much about W&M.rabbitrun wrote:I'm really hoping that W&M will negotiate scholly. I only got 8k from W&M but I got 40k to W&L. I'm hoping to play into any rivalry between the schools.
Was this today? I thought all the schools are closed for MLK dayAawaldrop wrote:W&M Dean called to let me know I got in and I let it go to voicemail but then checked it and it cut off after 45 seconds in the middle of a sentence.
Edit: Nvm phone being dumb

Yea less than half an hour ago. I was under that impression as well but maybe some are not off.JayJones78 wrote:Was this today? This only applies to the schools generally and is totally anecdotal, but whenever I tell people I got into W&L they have no idea what I'm talking about, but everyone knows W&M. For context, all the people I discuss this with are from PA or NJ. I doubt there's much of a difference among legal employers though.JayJones78 wrote:Interesting.
