FINALLY at Committee 1st Read. I've been complete since 10/31. Hopefully the next stages come quickly...

Keep faith everyone who has been at complete for a long time!

Updated to committee 1st read yesterday. How long has it been taking to get from the 1st read to decision made? Seems like some people have waited a few months, didn't know if there's been any pattern though.

Called admissions today to inquire about when those at "complete" may hear back. The admin officer said there will be some applicants that won't hear back until April 30th. I mentioned that a lot of law schools require a first deposit in April and she said we may end up paying for two if you chose SC over your second choice.

Points for honesty on her part. I don't think expecting students to pay double is unreasonable - it happens all the time when people get accepted off of waitlists in the summer.

"Some" can mean as low as 1..at least thats what the LSAT taught me.

But seriously, I think she meant more if you submit at the end of the deadline. April 30th seems extreme if you applied early january. id expect early-mid april the latest.

I applied 11/14, and like others (goden) haven't seen any movement.

Admit package arrived yesterday: no scholarship information, just two letters of congratulations. none on the website either. I presume this will come later? Or I am hardcore shafted.

A girl in my class today said she worked at the law school in admissions. I told her to hurry the fuck up. Hopefully now we'll hear back faster.

Finally admitted to USC this week (1/14) after getting the Rothman invite ages ago and applying mid-November. I really love LA so I'm excited to have another option. Would definitely go here with good money!

On behalf of everyone in this thread that submitted earlier and hasn't even gone in review...we're REALLY jealous/hate you a little bit. Then again, I went to Maryland, so assuming your username means you went to Duke, I really hate you.
