Any 170+ LSATs remain on the WL?

Did anyone else catch this from the Admissions Website (under "Prospective Students"): "The Office of Admissions will be closed on Friday, July 13th, for our annual staff retreat."

Several of us had received an email earlier saying "we do plan on reviewing our enrollment numbers in early July and will provide you with another update on July 13th."

What's up???...

Just received an email from Andy:

"Our class is still currently oversubscribed ... As I mentioned before, our next upcoming deadline is July 23rd when the tuition payment is due for the current entering class. We promise you another update by July 30th, if you haven’t heard from us before then. " :?

Not like this. But this is different from a probe I think. Wondering how many got it...

Got the same email. Are most people getting the same one?

I got it too. I'm not on any special waitlist, just the regular one. The email is pulling my heart strings with potentially false hope! Ahhhhhh... I would love to go but are we just being strung along?

Hey, so, I've been lurking in this thread with not much to add for a while, but in case it gives some hope, I got in today after getting the "feeler" e-mail yesterday. I was on the "regular" wait list, too.

Best of luck to those still waiting to hear. I know your pain.

Can you elaborate on your feeler email contents? The end of the email seemed like a feeler, but the beginning of the email seemed like the usual keep waiting email. And lots of us seemed to get it....

PS congrats!

Thanks! The e-mail I got yesterday was much more specific than previous e-mails. It said that there was a chance of a very limited number of spots opening up and that the Admissions Committee had a small number of applications they planned to consider this week for them, and that my application was among them and that they wanted to decide by mid-week. Mind you, this was Tuesday afternoon. They asked me to tell them my feelings on GULC at this point, to which I responded with thanks and then categorically and without much embellishment that if admitted, I would attend.

So it seems the Andy email was just another mass update? I was definitely thrown by "the committee has asked me to ask you" and "as soon as possible" parts. They keep sapping my enthusiasm for the school I plan on attending.

I didn't even apply to GULC, but sometimes I look at this thread and feel like all of you are getting mind fucked by the WL.

Yeah, this process reminds me of dating my wife when we first met. I had to jump through many hoops to get a date, enduring a long frustrating tease as she mulled it over. but then SHE proposed to ME a couple years later and now we have a child. The hoops are sometimes worth jumping.

I got the same email last night. I've been on the PWL since April after applying ED in December. Since I only applied part-time, I'm not anticipating any spots opening up there.

I also got in off the waitlist this week, after receiving an email asking about my level of interest. Don't lose hope!
