Any admitted students in the Texas area going to the Admitted Student/Alumni reception in Houston on the 7th? Hard to tell from the email whether S/Os are okay to bring...?

Are there any other people that submitted completely at the ED deadline (I actually submitted 2 hours after it but they put me down as ED still) and have not heard back yet?

After reading this thread I kept thinking I'm 1000% auto-reject, starting to slowly hope they're maybe slightly considering my app (just recently felt this slight glimmer of hope so I'm sure rejection will be soon) lol

I applied on 9/12 and haven't heard anything. Maybe they're torturing me on purpose to punish me for presuming to apply to their school.

I thought there was an option on the app for RD, because I remember thinking... why would anyone not do an ED that is non-binding / only difference is you hear back sooner lol

I submitted late on 11/1 just in time for ED and I haven't heard. I'm well above both of their 75ths AND I'm a Texas resident. I have several Texas friends in the same situations.

Yeah I submitted on Halloween, didn't go final til 11/11 though according to my status checker. Haven't heard anything yet, but expecting something within the next week or two.

I put RD because I didn't realize ED was nonbinding. Maybe they'll think we're letting them take their time in order to make a more informed decision on us?? lol *hopeful thinking*

What does the status checker change to when you've been accepted? I've been complete since 11/3 and I'm just wondering. Every morning I check my e-mal waiting for the rejection but it hasn't come yet. *fingers crossed it never does...*

About a week or so after my decision it changed to Admission Granted on November 14, 2011.

It still said "being considered for Early Decision" for awhile though.

I also just received my packet in the mail after discovering my admission via the status checker this morning. In addition to the standard letters, they enclosed a list of 2011 law clerks and two pamphlets on their public interest programs.

Look LS numbers for details, but I'd imagine it is a big boost to be from TX since the state can only legally have 35% OOS students and there are much more OOS apps

Simply put TX residents are competing with much less apps for almost double the spots than OOS

I submitted my application 11/14 and received an e-mail 11/16 saying that they had received my application and my file would be complete when they received my report from LSAC. I haven't received any more emails from UT but the LSAC website says everything was sent on 11/15.

I've seen a few other posts saying you receive an e-mail with a link to a status checker once your app is complete, so I'm a little concerned I haven't received any more emails from them. Thoughts?

UT takes a little while. It took me two weeks to get my status checker, and with the holiday thrown in for you my guess is it should arrive sometime this week. I wouldn't start worrying until the end of the week.

So my status checker says admission granted a few days ago, but I definitely haven't gotten a phone call... so it looks like I'm IN!
