Congrats!!! Surprised by such a late call - although I would take a 4 a.m. ring right about now!

Just got the call too and the all expenses paid trip to los angeles sounds pretty sick! If no scholly was mentioned, does that mean I'm broke or will I be getting more info later?

Search this thread for more info. Pretty sure this is not the case, though.

Is the all expenses-paid trip to LA offered to all those accepted, or do they extend the offer selectively? I haven't heard anything about it, but then again, I was only accepted last week.

To me, it seems like they are offering it only to URMs, but I could be wrong.

URM here, but he didn't reference that in connection. You could be right though, as my numbers wouldn't suggest that level of woo-ing for me, haha.

it seems to me they also offer money to non-URMs selectively. Someone mentioned in another thread getting $200.

Hmm I was offered a full 3 year tuition scholarship and Financial aid just emailed me offering me a need based grant of a tiny bit more money. Nothing game changing but considering my COA was already dramatically lower it certainly goes against the tradition TLS wisdom that needbased are almost nonexistant.

Any idea when I can expect admit packet? I'm in CA. It just doesn't feel real without something in writing. I'd settle for an email. I am excite.

Has anyone negotiated for scholly money with Dean Tom yet? I have a good offer from UT and acceptances from some T14s, but nothing from UCLA. I'm debating when to broach the subject.

I can assure you that if you address the UCLA Dean of Admissions as Dean Tom you won't get much scholarship love.

Anyone writing a LOCI to UCLA know whom to address it to in the "dear" part?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
