2nd complete was 2/4, then admitted 2/7. Cycle over....well, except for waitlists, sigh...

Second complete today 2/7.
I take it I still have a long road ahead of me from what I see on this page alone.

Actually, it doesn't seem to take that long from the second complete.Bless wrote:Second complete today 2/7.

My dates were 11/30 ---> 2/4, then in as of this morning. So it seems to be a pretty quick decision once they finally open your file for a second time.

In today via status checker. Do they send an email or just admission packet in mail? I don't think I will get one, but does the admission packet contain scholly info. Sorry I don't remember when my 2nd complete date was so cant help with that info. Good Luck to everyone still waiting!

IN today (2/7) via status checker. Submitted my app on 1/7. I don't remember when my complete date was. I did apply to the PT program, so I'm not sure how that affected the length of the decision. I'm also an in-state resident. That might have helped.
I'm waiting on nine more decisions, but it'll be hard to turn down this value. I'm also reconsidering my decision to take on a PT program. I might try to negotiate my way into the FT program. I applied to Rutgers-Camden PT, and their acceptance e-mail allowed me the option of entering FT. So maybe Temple will offer the same.

I applied PT on 1/17 so hopefully I'll hear something in the next few weeks! Do you know how Temple is with scholarships for PT students?LSATclincher wrote:Congrats. From looking at the online stuff, it's not as terrible as some other PT programs. Regardless, I'm going to put together a negotiation strategy, which will likely begin at the PA law school panel event at Drexel University. (I'm just waiting for it to be re-scheduled since it was cancelled a week ago due to weather.)NJPharmD2011 wrote:I applied PT on 1/17 so hopefully I'll hear something in the next few weeks! I'll also run this question by an attorney who works at my firm, who did the PT program.
Good luck to you!

Re: Temple 2011
I didn't know you could negotiate scholarships for PT programs because I thought they assumed you worked and had money for tuition lol. I got into RU Newark full-time yesterday and with the scholarship its the same cost as Temple PT in-state. I do some part-time work for a lawyer based in Philly that I wanted to continue if I go to Temple so any scholarship will definitely secure that decision. If I don't have rotations I'll try to check out that law school panel, thanks for the info!LSATclincher wrote:From looking at the online stuff, it's not as terrible as some other PT programs. Finally received my packet today. Scholarship offer was much lower than expected. Temple wasn't high on my list anyway, so I will definitely be withdrawing.

I haven't gotten a packet yet, but it's scaring me that so many people are withdrawing due to small/lack of scholarships.

to those who received their packages, is there any literature included on financial aid? i am looking at their website on fin aid, did the fafsa, and sent in the temple fin aid application but am wondering if there is more that is included in the acceptance package but not on the website.

Even if they do, if my offer is representative, they probably won't offer enough to make it compelling unless you're really, really wanting Temple over other schools. I've received offers from a few T1 schools/T2's right-on-the-line that are more than double what Temple offered.kk19131 wrote:I haven't gotten a packet yet, but it's scaring me that so many people are withdrawing due to small/lack of scholarships.

But even if another school offered you double, wouldn't in state for your 2nd and 3rd year plus scholarship make the difference very noticeable?

Still no admit packet here, mailed 1/25. Getting slightly worried, two weeks later and I'm right outside Philly. Anyone else still waiting that had it mailed 1/25?
