They are still working on money. USD's seat depost isn't till end of April, so just because you haven't gotten any money doesn't mean you won't.

Right. I got my financial aid award email with no scholarship money in it and then a week later got 30k for year one, followed up by a new financial aid email.

lockbox maybeee its taking longer because its a bigger envelope? just a thought/i know how you feel i've been in dr since 3/15 at pepperdine and only live an hour south...and stalking the mailman has become an unhealthy habit for me :////

I'll be there. RSVP'd last night. I think today is supposed to be the last day for that, if anyone is interested.

It'll take a lot from USD to unseat CU Boulder as my top choice, but I'm at least going to see what they have to offer and use this as an excuse to see some old friends down there.

They seem to do all acceptances through the mail. There is no "tell" on their status checker like some schools.

Quick question for those who know better!

How religious is USD? I understand they are a catholic school but want to know how religious the student body and professors are. There is a huge difference for instance between Loyola (a Jesuit school that is almost entirely secular now) and Pepperdine (holy religious conservatism batman). Where exactly would USD sit on this scale?

Usd isnt super religious at all, its more like loyola in that aspect and does not force religion on the student body at all but if u wanted to be religiously involved on campus u do have that opportunity

this. although it's religious in founding, it's not at all like pepperdine. take a look at the student orgs page http://www.sandiego.edu/law/current/stu ... nizations/ and you'll recognize a variety of cultures/religions represented.

Well that makes me feel much better. I did not even apply to pepperdine since my kind seems pretty unwelcome from the tour I went on.

I am 90% sure San Diego is my pick unless Davis comes back to me with a miracle. Does anyone have any info on the Presidio apartements they offer? They seem to not have much information on their webpage about on campus graduate housing. I have my own house up here south of LA so I would only be down there during school days so renting a big apartment is a bit of a waste for me.
