Just spoke to the admissions office. They said scholarships would be reviewed January and we would start to hear by February or March. So the two of you that heard already, they must really want you.

I just received an emailing stating that I received a scholarship! It didn't say how much in the email but that I should be receiving a letter in the mail with the offer. The bad news is I am leaving the country tomorrow for 2 wks! It is gonna kill me to not know. Anyway, I am thrilled that I got something!

When did you get accepted?

I got that same email. They asked a few questions to verify that I really was who I said and after about 3 minutes on the phone they told me and said the letter would be arriving shortly. They were both very helpful and quite nice. I would not have been able to wait for the letter.

Thank you, I will plan to call them tomorrow. I can not wait for the letter when it would be over 2 weeks until I would see it.

I sent an email saying that I would not be home for the next 2.5 weeks and I'd be in Florida over the break and the scholarship info would help me find housing. They then promptly emailed me the stats 20k a year no strings

stupid question, but is there a meaningful difference between being waitlisted and your application being "held?"

Rejected yesterday, but UM was my reach school so it's fine with me. Maybe I can transfer in for 2nd year if I'm still interested. I'm not too keen on working for a big law firm, though. I'm pursuing a law degree merely to further my own business interests, so maybe its better I just hit up FIU and save the coin? We'll see. Best of luck to you guys!

Nope. URM. LSAT is above 25th and GPA was in 25th. 2 yrs WE for Fortune 500. President of NAACP, President of Fraternity, Intern at State House, and a list of other softs. FL school that has a better football team too

In with a 165/2.7 as of early December (1st or 2nd), could use about 20 G's/yr to make this an interesting decision. Have not heard anything yet. Not sure if my GPA is too low (valid GPA addendum), but I'm not paying sticker at Miami.

I got 24k/year here. When is a good time to contact them about possibly receiving more scholarship money? My gpa/lsat are far above their 75th percentiles; not to sound like a jerk, but I would probably only attend The U with a full-tuition (or close) scholarship.

^^I feel the same way. I got 24k from them, but paying about 14 out of pocket combined with a much larger cost of living is too much. I'd rather pay sticker at UF.

Looks like 3.2 (semester 1) was in the top end of the top 33% for the 2009 entering class.
