They told me last year that they don't rank the waitlist. And I think the earliest that you'll hear anything is the middle of the summer. They've let people in off the waitlist the last two years. Make sure you let them know that you're still interested.

I am not too surprised but still a little disappointing. I'd rather not wait until July to get an answer

I was upset until i realized that 1. I should have been denied and 2. there is still a chance.

A decision in July would be great. August is what I'm worried about.

Agreed. If I end up at STCL, then a transition to UH wouldn't be difficult, but anywhere else would be impossible. Do they rank waitlist or anything along those lines?

I remember reading somewhere that they do not do a preliminary ranking. However, they have to rank eventually or else no one is getting anywhere. I'm assuming once the deposits are due in April, they will start reviewing all of the waitlisted applications again.

Hey guys, I'm just getting here late to the game. I was wondering what your thoughts were on my chances based on what people have been seeing. I just sent off my app today for the PT program with a 164/2.9. I am currently in the MBA program here at UH and was hoping to do the JD/MBA. Hopefully that fact also gives me a boost. I'm 165/2.9, WLed for FT, applied in January. The PT might be less competitive, and the joint program might be another boost in your favor.

Aw, you're so nice! No, I didn't apply to SMU. I found myself very put off by their $75 application fee, and in the end just realized I didn't want to go there anyway. I'd prefer to get out of Texas (although I may come back someday!).

lol, i know, right? actually i had sent out a scholarship negotiation (demand) letter on Monday. got this, which was dated last week, and after i basically crossed UH off the list i got a response to my email that said they'd take my other offers into consideration if i showed it to them.

i can't go to UH unless i get 10k a year and it doesn't look like that will happen.

It might be a good sign though...they have not rejected you...yet. The longer they review it, I think the better?
