Re: LSU 2011
I was waitlisted today too. I wonder what my chances are of getting accepted. It's hard to wait!

Re: LSU 2011
Just got in off the waitlist today. Anyone know how long it takes for scholarships (if any) to be determined?

FYI, especially to those on the waitlist.
Emails announcing seat deposit #2 had not received went out to students today. On Monday, those who don't respond to say their deposits are on the way are dropped from system.
So for those still waiting, some will likely get in next week.

Im on the WL but will be making a visit this week. Will it have a positive impact on gaining acceptance? And what is some advice on making the most out of my visit to maybe help get acceptance? I know finals are going on and everyone is leaving so I am going to have work around that hurdle.

I think it will help. I visited in January, and was later waitlisted, but wrote a good loci about my visit. I was accepted last week.scherian11 wrote:Im on the WL but will be making a visit this week. Will it have a positive impact on gaining acceptance? The wait is killing me. Has anyone come off of the waitlist recently, other than silver7?

2nd seat deposit was due 05/02/11 so Admissions should have a good idea of the matriculation at this point. Next deadline I see in my packet is 06/30/11 for submission of official transcripts and some other paperwork.

Yeah thanks for the info! I just hope we don't actually *have* to wait until the end of June.

Hey guys, I was wait listed and my status checker date just changed to 6/2/11 and the status still says Decision Has Benn Made. Is this a new decision or the same one I got back in April?

This also happened to me. But I received an e-mail Thursday (but apparently it was missing some information so they will be resending them shortly). I know a form is being e-mailed for those who want to remain on the wait list to fill out.

Dinged today. Good luck to the rest. Perhaps I will be able to transfer in next year.

Re: LSU 2011
Was thinking about you guys starting in the next month and a half, and remembered something I wish I had known when I was buying books. Books that are highlighted up and written in are a lot cheaper, and can be a total life-saver if you get cold-called and haven't read the assignment. Only one of my books had been highlighted (borrowed it from my 3L roommate), and was able to stay on my feet even though I hadn't read.
Good luck with books and getting everything together. Definitely start early buying them so you don't have to resort to buying them brand new from Claitor's (unless you want to spend a fortune of course). And best of luck to those who are still waiting to hear back!
