Has anyone that didn't get a phone call (ED) received an email or letter officially denying/waitlisting them yet?

I have no idea, but the rejections/waitlists will be by email only, fwiw.BeachedBrit wrote:Has anyone that didn't get a phone call (ED) received an email or letter officially denying/waitlisting them yet?

Re: UChicago 2011
Just saw the status update list from page 19, thanks arism! I am a 172, 3.8 and I'm stuck at 9/30. (It seems kind of random on who got updated, so maybe this isn't bad?)
I just read the school's official take on multiple LSAT's (we look at the highest), but is there any evidence on the contrary (i really hope they don't average). Thanks!

Dont know if this is what you're looking for, but I got in with a 164, 174 ED with a GPA that would have NEVER gotten me in if they averaged my LSATs to a 169.lakerfanimal wrote:Just saw the status update list from page 19, thanks arism! I didn't. I thought "conventional wisdom" is that it's unnecessary in the T6. For better or worse!ClayDavis wrote:Did a lot of ppl write "Why Chicago"s?lakerfanimal wrote:then we're separated at birth numbers twinsarism87 wrote:

I thought they didn't want unsolicited essays
I'll write one ASAP if that's wrong

I think some people said that if they wanted to write one, they just included a paragraph in their PS and didnt write a separate "why" essay.s0ph1e2007 wrote:Is it an option though?

Not necessary at all. She hints that there may be one in the future, so if an option appears in a later cycle, people might want to treat it as if it were a Why Penn or Why UVA in that it's essential to write one.TLS: So since you don’t have a Why Chicago question, does that mean that students shouldn’t write one?
It’s fine if they want — they can add it to their personal statement. I am a fan of addendums. If they feel there’s something they really want the admissions committee to know that already isn’t in their application in another way, addendums work in that way. Sometimes I think about going to a Why Chicago question; I haven’t yet, though.
We just have some people send in Dean’s Certification letters when we don’t ask for Dean’s Certification letters, and it gets bogged down. This is our second cycle being paperless, and sometimes people still send in paper.

Re: UChicago 2011
For the earliest submitters I think soon, but IIRC there was a spreadsheet out there that basically said early February for anyone with around a November (give or take a week into October) complete date. I'm personally not expecting to get anything until February, and save a CLS acceptance I will be waiting patientlyarism87 wrote:Anyone care to speculate when RD decisions will start?

Re: UChicago 2011
Does anyone know if Chicago will let you update your transcripts once UR? My GPA didn't go up a lot but it did move from just under their median to right above so I feel like if I can update it I should.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
