In a moment of brash stupidity I applied to your prestigious asylum ("asylum" in the not-so-serene way). But I wanted to let you know that my gig in King Arthur's Court is going great, very bloody yet egalitarian et cetera, so I shan't make it to Connecticut. No, I never read that book, but I bet you thought I did--or had it read to me by helpful if infiltrating Jehovah's Witnesses or a beneficent band of Jesuits--just because I'm a bit downwind of the Mason Dixon Line and clearly would not learn good up yonder. (Btw, smells like plagiarism and pomtinis.)
Anyhoo, I've got a bad case of hookworm (as you no doubt surmised) to clear up and I probably couldn't have handled that along with the second-hand syphilis I'd acquire from the Yale Legacy admit I needed notes from. You know, that dude who'd bone my skull or whatever. So here's to keeping the parasite load low, biologically, academically, and socially.

Re: THE DING BAR
Dear Fordham,
I'm sorry that you guys bothered to wait 2 months to give me that lovely status checker, one-line ding. I can see that you agonized over the decision and really weighed how to best handle my delicate feelings. But let's be honest, I was never going to take the train into the city and then take a subway, or a bus, to get to your school. Seriously, I was never going to get a metrocard... I don't DO public transportation (when it stinks of putrid urine). Oh sure, I'll be a little disappointed that I missed out on being accosted or serenaded by the homeless (or toothless) on a daily basis, and I'll miss that constant OCD checking of my purse for ALL of my belongings, but, truly, don't worry about me... I think I'll get over it (with the large apartment and dog I'll actually be able to afford elsewhere).
Love,
NYCbound

Yeah the SN doesn't really have to do with law school so much as the fact that when I'm at home I live relatively close to the city so I always want to go there.
(Ps. if you're confused, I was bullshitting in my "letter")

Dearest UC Davis,
Your silence over the past 6 months makes me assume that you have already rejected me, but remember that time 7 years ago when I applied for undergrad and you were so happy to accept me? Well, I only applied because my mom made me, plus there's no way I would attend only the 3rd best UC. Wtf is an aggie anyway?
P.S. Cow tipping is overrated
P.P.S. Kids only go to your undergrad because they couldn't get into berkeley. Seriously.

Columbia,
Thank you. I need to leave NYC anyway. It hurts my soul.

I asked a bartender where I can get good pizza. She said, "[some place] on the corner, they have the best avacado pizza"
