So is this the calm before the storm? It seems as if nobody has heard (or posted) any news from ASU recently....

Re: What's up with Arizona State (ASU)?
During one of my many sleepless nights, I stumbled upon the link below to a music video produced by some of the ASU law faculty. I clicked on it because, well, I had pretty much clicked on every other link on the internet by that time... Suffice it to say that it didn't help me get any sleep and I actually developed recurring nightmares about attending ASU for several weeks thereafter... I even found myself expressing my distaste for the video in other languages (!Que horible!).
Without any further ado, it is with great displeasure and disdain that I bring you the catastrophe that is the video at the bottom of this ASU web site page:
http://www.law.asu.edu/?id=409
Enjoy!

i just plugged my friend's fbook event. its this friday at 7 pm at Boulders near Mill and Broadway. i was about to invite the TLSers on asu fbook but i think only one is actually in tempe. i figured why not post on the forum bc going to a bar for charity is as good as anything to do for a couple hours on friday, its another chance to network or "make friends" as you youngins say it in UG, and also i want my friend to get yer money.
so 7 pm-10 pm asu 2013 admitted and waitlisted and rejected student meet-up @ Boulders, Mill/Broadway
recapitulation to follow
Medical Volunteers Event
Type:
Causes - Fundraiser
Date:
Friday, April 23, 2010
Time:
7:00pm - 10:00pm
Location:
Boulders on Broadway
Description
Justin Stevenson and Nate Matwick are Arizona State University students and roommates for the past 3+ years. For those of you who don't already know, we are trying to raise money to fund a 5 week medical-volunteer trip to Thailand. The trip is coordinated through Imaginations Inc. A non-profit student run organization composed of students from the University of Arizona and Arizona State University. For more information please visit our website at:
http://justinandnate.chipin.com
or the organizations website at:
--LinkRemoved--
We've already had a some very generous donations through our website and now we've been extended a great opportunity to use our favorite bar as a site for a fundraiser.
Thanks to out friend Eric at Boulders on Broadway we have the chance to invite all our friends out for a night of awesome pizza and beers. Eric has been able to make it so that portions of all the pizza and a select beer (they have a lot on tap) go towards our incurred trip expenses.
So we're inviting you all to come out and help us out by doing what you want to do on a Friday night anyways... Eat Pizza and Drink Beer. Specifically drink Odell Brewing Co. beer because this is the beer that will go towards our cause and lucky us because Odell makes some of the best beers in the world and Boulders makes some of the best Pizza!! Check out Boulders on Broadway's website here:
http://www.bouldersonbroadway.net
There will also be an awesome raffle with various prizes including some pint glasses and Odell t-shirts. All proceeds going towards our trip.
Please feel free to invite your friends out too. I will be using this facebook page to get an idea of how many people will show up so please RSVP through this site to the best of your ability.
Boulders on Broadway is located at:
530 W. Broadway
Tempe, Az
85282
PLEASE COME HELP US OUT ON FRIDAY APRIL 23RD FROM 7-10PM!

I went complete in the middle of January. ASU was kind of a reach for me because my GPA is pretty pathetic, so I am feeling really relieved right now!quickquestionthanks wrote:kaya_belly wrote:Got a call from Dean Soto tonight.....something about saving the best for last.....maybe not.

Hmm... ASU must weigh the LSAT more heavily this year... I'm guessing you had a strong LSAT score? Mind sharing?kaya_belly wrote:I went complete in the middle of January. Perhaps, but my LSAT was awful with a good GPA (3.61/152) though I am an URM which I'm sure had at least something to do with it.AsexualChocolate wrote:Hmm... ASU must weigh the LSAT more heavily this year... I'm guessing you had a strong LSAT score? Mind sharing?

I work in the real estate industry; an industry that is hazardous to one's health. I jammed my thumb playing kickball at work the other day.aIvin adams wrote:LOL. killer harmonica, and interesting that they got john waters on the guitar:AsexualChocolate wrote:During one of my many sleepless nights, I stumbled upon the link below to a music video produced by some of the ASU law faculty. LSAT is 168. Initially, I felt okay about my chances, but then I started seeing people on LSN with somewhat similiar numbers getting rejected.AsexualChocolate wrote:Hmm... Got my packet in from ASU. My aid offer was a big bag of NOTHIN' which is surprising considering my Estimated Financial Contribution is ZERO according to my FAFSA.

Re: What's up with Arizona State (ASU)?
ASU sent me an e-mail saying that they weren't done reviewing me, but that they were still interested in me. Which is a change from schools asking me to express my interest. My guess on the outcome? Another freakin' WL.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
