lol.deathviaboredom wrote:Are you kidding me? It's far better to be on the edge of your seat waiting for a call from Harvard than to be doing the same for Cornell, Fordham or Cardozo. Don't be an ingrate. You got the JR1. That's an accomplishment in and of itself, and tons of people would KILL for that opportunity. I would murder my entire immediate family.5ky wrote:Do you really believe that? I think that I would much rather never get a JR1 than get one but not a JR2. Especially with my borderline stats, I feel like the probability of my not getting a JR 2 if I were to get a JR 1 would be much higher than normal.Saya wrote:If it makes any of you people feel better, I'd die to be in your position right now.As I'm sure all the people with no JR1s feel.

Welcome to the club!Rmosk wrote:much better not to get a JR1 than JR1 with no JR2.
I got into Cornell today, and the admissions lady was super nice...compensates a little bit.
Anxiously waiting for my new Dec score too (the thread I am hanging onto for that JR2).
Let other things fill your mind - take the JR1/no JR2 thought off your mind...it's healthier for you.

Only one person from our group was set free today? This makes me sad.

Re: Harvard JR1 but no JR2 (yet?) Club
Ugh. This is weak.
Looking at LSN, a rejection would be very believable if my GPA were maybe .2 - .3 lower, but then why the early JR1 (11/6)? Confusing.
If I get W/L or rejected, I will have the highest GPA of anyone with my LSAT score to be W/L or rejected by Harvard in LSN history. Anyone else have a fun statistic to share?

I thought some were bound to get out - but only one person is pretty disheartening. Goodbye for now, thread! I'll see you next Monday!lz06 wrote:Only one person from our group was set free today? This makes me sad.

that's what i don't understand. why did they contact me so quickly for a JR1 if they were ambivalent? maybe they don't thoroughly look at our apps until after JR1.
anyway, does this get any easier, veteran members? i feel like i've been alternating between the five stages of grief, heh.

After I missed the pre-Thanksgiving batch, I grieved for a few days. Now I'm back to not expecting anything from them. If I get accepted, great. If not, I'll have some other great options. That should apply to anyone in this thread.

well i was away from internet for a while and missed the excitement (or lack of it) on monday, but i totally feel you on this one. they totally are leading me on (now 2 missed rounds). as for getting easier, i think it sinks into a chronic, dull sadness. is that easier?somewhatwayward wrote: that's what i don't understand. why did they contact me so quickly for a JR1 if they were ambivalent? maybe they don't thoroughly look at our apps until after JR1.

Re: Harvard JR1 but no JR2 (yet?) Club
can someone fill me in on the "mondays = jr2" connection?
I'm new to the thread. I, too, got a JR1 (in mid nov) but have yet to receive a JR2
does the school only accept on mondays?
from what i heard, getting a jr1 is a very positive sign. But if we haven't heard back from them yet, does that mean the admissions ppl are thinking twice?

Not sure this will make anyone feel better, but at least you guys are one step ahead of most applicants who don't even get a JR1?
You were worthy of consideration, and that says a lot!
Best of luck to everyone.

there was another person in the harvard main thread who had a mid-nov JR1 and got a JR2 on tuesday. that's 2, yaybottomshelf wrote:I thought some were bound to get out - but only one person is pretty disheartening. and to ilovecroissants, i guess that destroys the mondays theory. apparently they can come other days.

Is there anyone here who had a JR1 the week of Dec 14-18 but didn't receive a JR2 this Monday?

JR1 = Josh Rubenstein phone interview. JR2 = Josh Rubenstein phone acceptance.Peter North wrote:What the hell is this JR1 vs JR2 stuff? Are you guys saying that JR calls you once, and then JR calls you again? In other words, 2 (or more) phone interviews?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
