question for you guys: is it the case that not only are they not making decisions in the order of the files going complete, but that the time they take to actually make a file complete is actually a function of the numbers too?

i think a few people of the people accepted went complete within a matter of +/- 2 days. For others, it took weeks to go complete.

I went complete really quickly, back in October, and I have numbers that make it unlikely I get accepted.

International Student Here!

173 LSAT
Non US-GPA: 94/100 Engineering Major

How much time do I have to retract all my other applications? I mean they say 'immediately' but how immediate is that?

Why are people saying that Columbia ED acceptances are done and the rest of the decisions are holds/rejections (I read it on another board)? Are they right? Why?

Do ED rejections/holds also come in email form?

In Saturday via the vomit-colored envelope (VCE) of lore. In case anyone else is a nerd and already pored through the admitted students' website, is anyone else appalled at the rent? I live in New York in a better neighborhood than Morningside and I'm still in sticker shock at the price of the "heavily-subsidized" residences...

YES mocha- i vommed all over when i saw what they're charging for apartments (couldn't find the envelope in the mess...)

i also live in nyc and can vouch for the ridiculousity of the prices: over 1k for a bedroom in a 3bdr, 1,700 for a room in a 2 bdr, and like 2,500+ for a studio i think (this is all from memory). i mean, maybe stuff gets *real* pricey right by 115, but if you head a few blocks uptown, i think these rents would be super steep.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
