I just remembered a funny incident from my JR1. JR had just asked me if I had any final questions / thoughts, so I asked him "Is there anything that I can do to strengthen my application between now and when the Committee makes its decision?"

He LOL'd at me, which intimidated me a bit at the time but in retrospect was clearly a good sign. :D

is anyone who's in at HLS withdrawing some other apps? i'm wondering whether it's worth it to wait and see about financial aid/scholarships...do people think that HLS won't be coaxed into upping their aid offers? i don't want my apps to clog up other schools for no reason, but if there's a chance i could get more aid at my top choices i'm not sure i want to withdraw. thoughts?

I'm pretty sure that there is no merit aid at HLS.

So I imagine that there is no negotiating?

is there a way to up need-based aid, though? i realize that sounds a little ridiculous, and i don't know anything about this, but i wonder whether schools' need-based offers can affect one another.

I doubt it -- you could try asking in the Harvard 2012 thread, I'm sure they're all experts :)

Yep :) I'm confused about the "binder," though? None of the available things (that I see so far) seems to be the binder, right?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
