Re: In at Harvard!
I just remembered a funny incident from my JR1. JR had just asked me if I had any final questions / thoughts, so I asked him "Is there anything that I can do to strengthen my application between now and when the Committee makes its decision?"

is anyone who's in at HLS withdrawing some other apps? i'm wondering whether it's worth it to wait and see about financial aid/scholarships...do people think that HLS won't be coaxed into upping their aid offers? i don't want my apps to clog up other schools for no reason, but if there's a chance i could get more aid at my top choices i'm not sure i want to withdraw. thoughts?

I'm pretty sure that there is no merit aid at HLS.owhlcn wrote:is anyone who's in at HLS withdrawing some other apps? i'm wondering whether it's worth it to wait and see about financial aid/scholarships...do people think that HLS won't be coaxed into upping their aid offers? i don't want my apps to clog up other schools for no reason, but if there's a chance i could get more aid at my top choices i'm not sure i want to withdraw. thoughts?

is there a way to up need-based aid, though? i realize that sounds a little ridiculous, and i don't know anything about this, but i wonder whether schools' need-based offers can affect one another.ylc wrote:I'm pretty sure that there is no merit aid at HLS.owhlcn wrote:is anyone who's in at HLS withdrawing some other apps? i'm wondering whether it's worth it to wait and see about financial aid/scholarships...do people think that HLS won't be coaxed into upping their aid offers? i don't want my apps to clog up other schools for no reason, but if there's a chance i could get more aid at my top choices i'm not sure i want to withdraw. thoughts?
