I agree. This is the first example I have seen of this and I have already calmed down. Illinois just went up in my opinion.

Firms are pushing these decisions back farther and farther these days. I don't have good data on this yet, but when I do, we will share it.

Not very many. With firms cutting back, 1L summers was one of the first things to go. I don't really think of this as that bad of a thing. We encourage our students to do externships in their first summers and we have a program that guarantees placement in an externship for the summer.

Once again, thank you for answering my earlier post. Every representative at the law fair in San Diego on November 5th, except the Vandy one, did an expert job at dodging these questions.

To be honest, I would much rather spend at least one of my summers at a government agency internship, but since law school costs an arm and a leg these days money is going to dominate a lot of law students' decision making.

LOL Yeah, I'm a real trucker! If you wonder how I am on here so much, my wife writes many of my posts for me while I'm on the phone with her. She does my status checker stalking for me as well.

We had an early Thanksgiving on Sunday since I had to come home for my Vandy interview. I am definitely looking forward to getting off the truck and having a more stable schedule.... I bet that's the first time anybody's ever said that about a law school schedule, or a lawyer even!
