No, I haven't been actually accepted. But I feel that I would have a fairly strong chance of admittance, unless they YP. They sent me an unsolicited viewbook and targeted letter inviting me to apply, too.

just got the email. They said they start mailing out decisions mid December so there really is no need for status checker much earlier than now IMO. If things are missing they let you know. The real reason for status checkers is to see if a decision has been reached and what that decision is methinks.

I don't know if this is just for me or not, but I find it pretty annoying that my user login for USC is different than every other school. I have Firefox autofilling my status checkers but USC is fucked up now because they decided to be special and give me a different user name than every other school.

Managamy, didn't you just get into Harvard? As much as I love my alma mater, do you really think you'd choose USC over Harvard?

EDIT: The bat lives another day - just got my status checker e-mail. Rulesy the Bat just scared them off for a little bit (til they saw his big smiling face and realized he's harmless)

No, but the "three-business-day" line gave me a few chuckles. And, as much as you love your alma mater, do you really think you'd choose USC over Berkeley?

I think that both of us are like football teams who have an insurmountable lead but, rather than simply running out the clock, are trying for that extra touchdown just for the fun of it.

If Berkeley gave me zero money, and USC gave me lots and lots and lots of money, I know what decision I would make. I really like my life in LA and no debt would be a beautiful beautiful thing.

It's interesting in their class profile for 2012 - about 1/3 of students come from either Berkeley, UCLA, or USC. I don't know if I've seen another school like that...

This is true. I'm just a little surprised since you seemed so wildly enthusiastic over Berkeley when you were admitted.
