Does anyone know (perhaps based on past threads) if the status changes from "in review" to something else (e.g., "second/final review" or "decision made") before they release decisions?

Checking in. Went UR today (12/13). Probably won't hear until Jan per LSN.

According to previous threads, USC no longer emphasizes the stages of the review process. It just indicates "In Review" and jumps to "Decision Finalized" followed with an email within the day with the acceptance/denial decision.

12/21 was the first larger wave on LSN last year, so I would bet on that. or next wednesday if its by day.

A huge batch of RD decisions went out 12/21 last year.

12/15 was a Thursday last year. You could get a decision tomorrow.

Oh it for sure will! Most students I know that applied URM got accepted with much lower stats! You got this

On the status checker, it's back to complete and at the top it says "Your application is now complete and you have been rolled over from the Early Decision applicant pool to the Regular Decision applicant pool. Review of your application by the Admissions Committee will take place early in the spring semester"

To be honest, I had a feeling this would happen because of that scholarship. I think now that they are aware of our interest in attending, they might be planning to offer us regular admission with a much lower scholarship. Also, people with higher stats are probably applying to ED more than before because of the scholarship, so this reduces our chances as well.
