Looks like we are definitely seeing movement. For those who are lucky enough to have gotten the call or will get the call, please feel free to share the details!
Congrats and good luck to the rest of us.

Just got the call!!!! I'm honestly in shock right now. Best of luck to everyone. For what it's worth, I wrote a second LOCI. Time for the endless S vs H debate lol

Congratulations!! That is a great debate to have haha
I have a question about accepting an offer from the waitlist (If am so lucky to receive one)... did the admissions office tell you how to accept your offer from the waitlist (telling them that you accept by e-mail or calling them)? I know Stanford likes to do everything by paper/snail mail so I'm wondering how quickly everything gets sorted out/finalized once Stanford tells you they want you to come especially with housing deadlines for other law schools being so near.
Thanks and congrats again!

Thank you!!! Tbh I remember VERY little from the conversation because I was pretty overwhelmed, but I do know that they wanted me to wait to decide after they sent me a financial aid offer. I'd highly advise all of you waiting to fill out FAFSA and NeedAccess now before they make a decision. Because I did it in advance for this scenario, they'll be able to get me an offer by the end of this week at the latest. From there, I think email or phone is perfectly fine to accept the offer. There were no mentions of deadlines, but in fairness, I made it pretty clear on the phone that I was likely to accept their offer so they may have felt it moot.

Nice - congratulations!! I would've been pretty much just as speechless/in shock as you haha. Good luck with the debate. I'd be making the same decision if I get in too, so I'm curious what you end up deciding!

Ecstatic to report that I got a call from Dean Deal yesterday with an offer of admission off the wait list!!!! She said I could expect a financial aid package today and that I need to decide early next week. This is going to be a very easy decision for me, SLS has been bae since day 1. FWIW I sent in a LOCI before I got WL'd, sent an additional LOR when I was WL'ed in addition to an second LOCI, and I sent a f/u email a month after my second LOCI. My thirstiness paid off, or at least it didn't hurt!

It's been almost a full week since I sent an email and I haven't heard back.
Same here. I sent in something on Sunday and haven't been emailed back yet.

I sent something in last week and didn't hear back. Has anyone tried calling? I'm thinking they're on a vacation (they did this some cycles ago).
See this -
https://law.stanford.edu/2010/07/02/adm ... -vacation/
But then LSN shows an acceptance on the 22nd (look in the 2014-2015 cycle, it's miscoded for some reason)...so I don't know what to think.
Anyone have any insight?

Not on vacation, I got in on the 22nd. I didn't receive responses to either of my LOCIs and clearly it wasn't a bad sign, so I wouldn't worry about it.
Best of luck!

It seems like, relative to last year's thread, that more people are getting off the waitlist.

Don't really know what to make of the number. Are people just not getting kicked out?

Right, for whatever reason they aren't kicking people out this year. Lots of HY-bound folks still in the group. IIRC the group is up from ~240 a few weeks ago, though, FWIW.

Worth writing a LOCI at this point? Any advise would be great, if some email or snail mail?

Ideally, you've already written one. But either way, I don't think it can hurt you at this point unless you have been bombarding them with communications. I think the rule of thumb is contact with them once a month. But meaningful contact.
And I think email is fine. Or both snail and email.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
