I received the email and my status checker still just says "waitlisted"

Well, mine says 'status: decision' and still nothing in my inbox. Something's not right..

hi all, i got a letter last week letting me know that I was being removed from the waitlist. My status checker just says "decision". Good luck!

I believe Michigan has gone through '2 rounds' of removing people from the WL. Hopefully that means the WL has become significantly shorter for those that still remain!

I think you're right. This is the latest on the waitlist page

"To those who responded to our email of last week assessing your level of interest, thank you. We are closely reviewing the waitlist and releasing people when we know we will not be able to make an offer, with the goal of reducing the list to a small core. Following our June 15, second deposit deadline, we will evaluate our needs and update this message.

We will continue to update this page regularly with information about our plans and progress, and you should feel free to provide our office with any additional information you think would be useful. We very much appreciate your patience. From the FAQ

We plan to make five waitlist offers during the week of June 27. We will be emailing individual applicants to set up telephone conversations, and will be giving two weeks for those who received offers to submit a deposit. We will also be releasing those people to whom we know we cannot make offers; we will do that on a rolling basis throughout the rest of the summer.

"We are now making waitlist offers on a one-at-a-time basis, to fill a spot if someone defers or withdraws. Using history as a guide, we anticipate making about five more offers prior to orientation. Please keep in touch if you remain interested in an offer from the waitlist during the remaining few weeks before our late August enrollment date.

We are also in the process of releasing everyone from the waitlist for whom we have concluded we cannot make an offer. Our waitlist is down to a very small core of people.
