As of today our deposits are quite strong, and we are not planning to make many offers prior to our May 1st deposit deadline. However, these things have a way of changing so it is always possible we will have room in the next few weeks.
If we do extend offers of admission, the Committee will be particularly interested in applicants who truly want to be at Georgetown. Please continue to keep in touch with us with your level of interest and any changes in your application through admis@law.georgetown.edu.
If you don't hear from us earlier, the key date for us (and you) is May 2nd when our first deposits are due. With the usual extension requests, we will know for sure whether we have any Round One openings by Monday, May 9th at the latest. We will be back in touch then, if not before.
We look forward to hearing back from you and we thank you again for your continued interest in Georgetown and for your patience with our process.

Re: Georgetown Wait-List 2015-2016 (Class of 2019)
got a slightly different email from the preferred one:
Good morning from Georgetown. I'm writing to you today to give you an update on the Georgetown waiting list. As you know, you are in a special select group that we will be going to first if spaces open up in the entering class.
Although as of today our deposits are quite strong, it is always possible that we may extend a few spaces in the class prior to our May 2nd deposit deadline. At this stage, the Committee is particularly interested in applicants who truly want to be at Georgetown. We understand that circumstances may change over time. While we are not asking you to commit officially, it would be extremely helpful to know what you are thinking at this point and the likelihood of enrolling if admitted.
Please respond to Alison Spada, Director of J.D. Admissions, at lawwaitlist@law.georgetown.edu as soon as possible to let us know your level of interest. On our end, we will try to keep you as up to date as possible on the waitlist situation, either before May 2nd or by May 9th.
We look forward to hearing back from you and we thank you again for your continued interest in Georgetown and for your patience with our process.

I received the preferred waitlist email as well. I find it interesting that the contact for the special select group is different than that of the preferred and regular waitlist. I probably shouldn't try to read anything into that though.

Depending on how detailed your "Main" LOCI was, I think just responding clearly outlining your level of interest should be enough - 2 to 3 sentences may be enough.werdrd wrote:I got the regular wait list email.. sent a LOCI a few weeks ago, but it asks that we keep in touch about level of interest. Also, this includes letting them know about any circumstances that will pull you one way vs the other if Georgetown were to extend you an acceptance in the future.

No problem! I also do think it would be prudent to respond to Georgetown's waitlist feeler email at the very least (I have this confirmed as a "good idea" from admissions) so, make sure you respond!werdrd wrote:thank you!!Anonnonnon wrote:Depending on how detailed your "Main" LOCI was, I think just responding clearly outlining your level of interest should be enough - 2 to 3 sentences may be enough.werdrd wrote:I got the regular wait list email.. sent a LOCI a few weeks ago, but it asks that we keep in touch about level of interest.
