I'm also a military officer. Pepperdine seems to be military friendly.

Hey guys - applied to Pepperdine a couple weeks ago and I noticed that the status checker says they require a paper CAS for LSAC. They'll request that and LSAC will send it automatically, right? Or do I need to do something?

LSAC will send it automatically. Just might take them a little while since a lot of people applied at around that time.capricasixx wrote:Hey guys - applied to Pepperdine a couple weeks ago and I noticed that the status checker says they require a paper CAS for LSAC. Okay, that's a relief. Thanks! And congrats on your scholly increase - curious if you deposited yet? Is this a strategy on their part to lock in admitted students who are still waiting on other schools?LShopeful2016 wrote:LSAC will send it automatically. Pretty sure. I haven't deposited yet as I'm not 100% sure what school I would like to go to. I am also still planning on trying to negotiate an increase from schools.capricasixx wrote:

I put my first deposit in already, but I didn't need to negotiate since they offered the YRP to me. If any of you ultimately decide to attend let me know.

Hey everyone. Applied to Pepperdine in mid- December. I was told that I'd receive a decision in 6-8 weeks. It's been over that time period. Has this happened to anyone else?

Does anyone know if they offer a travel stipend?

They include a "travel expense scholarship" letter with the admitted student packet for those students traveling more than 250 miles they will reimburse up to $400 for air travel ad hotel costs. It's not an outright reimbursement but rather a credit towards first semester tuition with submission of receipts. Is that what you were asking?93tillinfinity wrote:Does anyone know if they offer a travel stipend?

Oh, nice! I figured it would be for out-of-state only - it's nice that they factor in mileage since I'm in-state but 400 miles away.oldernbolder wrote:They include a "travel expense scholarship" letter with the admitted student packet for those students traveling more than 250 miles they will reimburse up to $400 for air travel ad hotel costs. Re: Pepperdine c/o 2019
FINALLY went into review today after 3 weeks sitting incomplete. The status checker says I should receive a decision in 2-3 weeks - does that timeline hold up to what those of you who've been accepted experienced? Particularly interested in hearing timelines from anyone who applied after Jan. 1.

Yes my response time was less than 3 weeks from the date of submission, they were the first of 9 schools that I applied to in a 2 day period to render decision.

Accepted on 02/01. I'm touring the campus on Wednesday. Going to try to do some scholarship negotiations while there.

I took a tour last week and stopped by the financial aid office to try to negotiate $$. They told me that they don't negotiate scholarship money, nor will they look at offers you may have gotten from other schools. I was informed though that it is possible to get an unsolicited bump in scholarship money, depending on which students accept their seat offers in April. Hope this helps.LShopeful2016 wrote:Has anyone anyone tried negotiating scholarships yet? What was the outcome?
