Good and bad news people. Just called them again. They said they are not being released today, but that they will be sent out "early next week." The woman on the phone sounded pretty confident. Hopefully this time their guess is more accurate.

Good to know something, I've been under review since just before Christmas so I hope I'm lucky enough to get into the first wave. Thanks!!bievmic wrote:Good and bad news people. It's a bit concerning that it will have taken nearly a month later than average to make the first round of decisions. Makes me wonder if either the Illinois budget crisis or dramatically increased application numbers are the cause. Our class's median GPA may exceed the 161 average if there are such greater applicants...

Do you think that application numbers are really up that much? If anything, I think they might have flatlined or moved back up to 2013-2014 numbers.InGurleyWeTrust wrote:It's a bit concerning that it will have taken nearly a month later than average to make the first round of decisions. Also, could you please elaborate on the Illinois budget crisis you mentioned?

Hey guys,
I'm a current 3L at Illinois and am happy to answer any questions you may have about the school, whether they be about admissions, student life, academics, etc.

Admitted with 10k per year. I was expecting more $$$cholarship. Will try and negotiate with them.
Anyone current student want to share experience with scholarship negotiation?
EDIT: status checker still says "File Complete, In Review"

When did you guys apply? I'm above the 75ths but my status checker email never went through to my email- I had to get it over the phone so I'm worried they may have the wrong email

I applied 11/2, you might just email admissions and tell them you've had an issue in the past and ask them to update your email. Also check your spam folder.PSPSPSPS wrote:When did you guys apply? Re: University of Illinois c/o 2019 Applicants
In yesterday with $$$ as well. Seems like they are giving out slightly less money this year then the last few years though. Interesting to see all the 32k scholarships people are saying they received as well. Kind of an odd amount especially for in-state people, but still pretty generous. Glad they got the decisions out before the weekend so we can celebrate accordingly.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
