Same here! Does anyone know if it changes from complete to under review or it just stays complete until a decision is reached?PearsonSpecter614 wrote:Been complete since first week of February. Still no answer. Keeping my fingers crossed!

This is a good question, which unfortunately I don't have the answer to. I saw you got put on hold at UF. I'm still under review there, and UM put me on hold today.ashleyh wrote:Same here! Re: FSU College of Law 2019 Applicants
The way mine went was that it was complete from 11/17 to the week of Feb. 12th. In the middle of the week it went to "under review by committee" when I called they said I would hear "shortly." I got an email on Friday (they make decisions on Fridays; calls for acceptances, emails for hold, and letters for denials saying "decision made.") So I've been on hold since 2/12 and no movement since.MiamiHeat3 wrote:This is a good question, which unfortunately I don't have the answer to. I saw you got put on hold at UF. I've been in application complete since the first week of Jan. Should I call? Don't want to be obnoxious.

I've been complete since 2/10 with no movement and have been wondering the same thing. Anyone have any insight to this?FSUHopeful wrote:I've been in application complete since the first week of Jan. Should I call? Don't want to be obnoxious.

I have also been complete since 2/8 and no movement. Did either of you call or have any movement since?

I've been complete since 3-1. I saw that a poster said that they will purposely push your application to the back of the line if you call and inquire about it, idk how accurate that is, but I'm just going to patiently continue sipping on my tea lol.ashleyh wrote:PearsonSpecter614 wrote:I've been complete since 2/10 with no movement and have been wondering the same thing. I applied 3/1, I heard I was accepted roughly two weeks later. I received 45.5k from them and a travel stipend to visit the school. I'm going to fly out there Apr. 12 and leave the 14th.

Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone has any advice on FSU! I was accepted but reading these forums, I saw a lot of people say FSU is not a good school and I should retake the LSAT.
LSAT- 154
GPA- 3.31
Any advice would help!

I was just wondering if someone can tell me how the scholarship process works at FSU? I saw that some people got an email to fill out a form. How soon after being admitted did you guys get that email?

Same! Under review & I'm pretty shocked by how quickly my status changed from complete to under review because I applied really late (March 13th). I have a feeling that this is going to be a large wave of decision notifications because the most common seat deposit deadline is approaching in a few weeks (April 15th). Hopefully this means good news for us all.

Re: FSU College of Law 2019 Applicants
I got into the top 5 law schools in Florida and once I decided I was going to stay in Florida I decided on UF but it came down to UF and FSU. I seriously considered FSU but UF is closer to where I live and my son goes there so that's where I choose. FSU is a good law school. They are number 2 in the state and for one year (2014 I think) they were number 1. If you want to practice in FL then there is nothing wrong with going to FSU. UF is regarded a little higher but that is mostly because they are so much more highly ranked in UG. They blow FSU away in those rankings. If you are just comparing law school to law school they are pretty similar (FSU actually has a little higher employment rate). If you are interested in public service or government then FSU is right in the capital and there are many opportunities. A lot of people on here put down schools 100% because of their ranking and while that is a small indication it isn't the end all be all. If you look at any law firm in Tampa at least 75% (if not more) of the lawyers are graduates of Stetson. Yes, I've gone on many law firms websites and you can look up the attorney's bio's and see where they attended school. There are circuit judges that went to Stetson but if you mention it on here it's the worst school ever. It is number 4-5 law school in Florida and as long as you want to work in Tampa then there is nothing wrong with going there. Some call these schools "regional" but there are 2 regionals. One is regional within a state (Stetson, FIU) and then there is regional in the nation (Emory). Then there is the Big Law talk. If you want to work in NYC in Big law then t14 is what you need to shoot for. If you want big law in Florida then UF,FSU and if staying in Miami UM, FIU is up and coming. And finally, every person on here seems to think just re-taking the LSAT is the solution. It is if you had a bad day and the test is not a true reflection of how you can perform and you have the time to wait a year, then it may be worth it but your GPA isn't extremely high so I'm not sure what better schools you'll get into if you raise your LSAT unless you want to raise it to get some scholly $$. Again, if you're just planning on practicing in Florida then UF or FSU are both great options. Don't forget they both have enormous alumni networks so if you did want to leave Florida there are, at least, many connections across the country.tmc682 wrote:Hey everyone! Re: FSU College of Law 2019 Applicants
Just as a heads up to everyone who is still waiting, here is my situation. Application sent in on December 17th and been on hold since. Splitter, with LSAT above their 75th percentile and GPA below their 25th. So I sent an email this morning to ask about how likely it would be that I may be accepted or receive scholarships based on similar applicants in past cycles. The response I got came off as somewhat rude. Here is what admissions said:
1. All decisions will be made by May 15th.
2. For many of you, who have deadlines coming up and offers from other schools, similar to my situation, the office of admissions suggests you "make the best decision for yourself with the information available."

Thanks for the heads up! I'm in the same situation as you basically and I've been waiting for months to hear back! Guess I'm going to put down my deposit elsewhere and just wait and see what FSU decides.rsmithpt267 wrote:Just as a heads up to everyone who is still waiting, here is my situation. That's not rude, that's good advice. They're letting you know you can't plan on being admitted.rsmithpt267 wrote:Just as a heads up to everyone who is still waiting, here is my situation. That is good advice. The rude part was more so the tone of how the email came across and the generic answer given instead of actually answering my original questions.LMD wrote:That's not rude, that's good advice.
