Anyone else get texted by the Dean after their acceptance? First time I've seen a school take advantage of the "yes, this school can text me" box on all the LSAC applications.

I was accepted 12/14 via email..anyone else get a text from them today? Have to say it's the first text I've gotten from a law school.

yes! got a text today..was surprised but oddly charmed. looking forward to visiting the school.

The acceptance letter totally scared me for a minute because they send it out in a standard letter-size envelope. For a minute, I forgot about the email and text and went, "WAIT, DID I GET REJECTED?!"

Naw, the decision letter is just that, a letter in an envelope. Scholarship info doesn't come until maybe mid-March? I know they want to process Need Access and FAFSA first... which is unfortunate. (It seems like merit aid should be considered separate from need.)

Same here- WL'ed. I know in the email it said the latest we can hear back is sometimes in August but is a general month where WL activity gets moving?

Not sure. I don't think that UC Davis shows the date on the status checker.

It's pretty sad and embarrassing (discriminatory!?) that the law school is referred to as King Hall after Martin Luther King Jr. and there are only 2 black men (less than 1%!) and 4 black women (1%) in the ENTIRE LAW SCHOOL. It's clear what MLK would think about that. Seriously?

In last week (mail came last night) but after considering the scholly being merit and need based after need is considered, I'm much less inclined to want to even consider it a contender. Notre Dame or BU are my tops until my last 6 decisions come in

Did anyone else receive an email about an informational session designed specifically for "UC Davis undergrads?" I'm not an undergrad there, so it threw me off guard, haha.

Yeah, I did. Probably went out to all admits (or applicants?). Hoping for scholly info soon.

EDIT: Looking back on last year's threads, seems like scholarships went out Feb 25. So I guess I'll sit on my hands awhile longer.
