Got accepted via mail today! Got offered "instate tuition", does anyone know if there's a chance of being offered more than just that scholarship wise?

Is anyone else going to the SC Law low country oyster roast in Charleston next week?

I have to say, I'm pretty put off by USC. I applied back in November and got a decision within like two weeks. My admittance came in the form of a single letter. Since receiving the letter, I haven't heard anything from them. Nothing about scholarship, or visiting, or connecting with students and alumni. (Although I did get the e-mail a few days ago about the oyster roast in Charleston). I was really considering the school...

Whatever, I guess. I have a lot of great offers from other schools, including a full ride from Wake Forest.

Go to Wake, North Carolina is better than South Carolina anyways.

First of all, congrats on your Full Ride at Wake. You need to decide what state you want to work in most. If it is NC then Wake may very well be a better option for you, but if you want SC then South Carolina is a great option. If you had the score to get a Full Ride at Wake you will likely get $$ from South Carolina, they just wait a little longer in the process to give out their money. Some schools wait a while to decide where their money goes once they see what a potential class looks like.

What are your stats?

I am 90% sold on retaking my LSATs and starting school in the fall of 2017, however, I am looking at USCarolina as a possible Fall '16 school. I have a 3.33 and a 153. Thanks, just getting a feel for it all

Saint Patty's Festival in Five Points is a blast! Probably will be absolutely packed this year since they moved it to the weekend after Spring Break though. I'd expect a lot of underclassmen undergrads.

Congrats on all of your acceptances, guys! I am a 3L from South Carolina and graduating in May from USC Law and I posted on here a few months ago offering to answer questions about USC Law. I think one or two of y'all took me up on it, but if anyone else has questions now that the process is farther along, feel free to shoot me a message.

Also, y'all are right, St. Pats in Five Points is a blast and there will be plenty of law students (me, for sure) there as well as undergrads and young professionals. Kind of a drunken mess, but a really great time if that's your thing.

Hi guys! When looking at the "Status Checker" what is the order? Incomplete...Complete...so on and so forth. Thanks!

I'm curious as well. I have been marked as "File Complete" since 2/9.

I will be withdrawing my admission (with an instate equalizer) tonight or tomorrow. Nice school, I was just a little put off by the lack of information and effort that was made. I still feel like I know nothing about what the law school has to offer....

Good luck to everyone!

I believe mine went from complete to decision mailed. I'm almost positive that SC was the school that i never saw an "under review" status change. I sat at "complete" for two weeks.

I've been under review for a couple of weeks now. I really just want a yes or no at this point.

Yes, there is a chance. My old roommate was initially offered one amount with her acceptance and was then offered a named scholarship for a larger amount later on. I can't say whether it is common for that to happen, but it is possible.

Has anyone who has been admitted received their scholarship offers yet? I know at the admitted students day they said they were behind, but the deposit deadline is April 1!

Does anyone know if we have an admitted students FB page? Class of 2019

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
