Psyched to be moving into peak stout season. Have 3 stouts that having been sitting for ~6 months that I'm excited to crack open.
Goose Island BCBS, Cigar City Hunahpu, and Bell's Expedition are my favorites. In no particular order

Most of them are pure trash. I do kind of like Pumpking from Southern Tier though.

Haven't had any cigar city but the others are great. One of my favorite regulars is Oskar Blues Ten Fidy.
I wish the stovepipe cans Bourbon Barrel Aged Ten Fidy were seeing distro, but it's only in Colorado. :(

Founder's Breakfast Stout, Prairie Bomb!, and Ten Fidy are my go-to stouts. I'll be picking up more BCBS on Black Friday.

Not a pumpking fun. There are a couple I like, but agreed the majority are pretty weak.
Southern Tier is a great brewery. Although Great Lakes is taking me heart right now.

The worst rating I've ever given a beer on Beeradvocate is Pumking. Awful artificial tasting brew.

I think mine was probably bourbon barrel aged pumpkin ale from Lexington Brewing... tasted like Jack O Lantern's butthole
I'm not a fan of pumpkin beers in general, although I did have Wicked Weed Xibalba recently and it was decent. A bit too thin, and the spices were muddled and not pronounced enough.

Did you try the pumking on draft or bottled. I tried bottled and it tasted different from draft.

Bottle. I only rate bottled beers. Draft beers are wildly inconsistent depending on the bar. Some places are really bad about cleaning their lines.

Best is Whole Hog Pumpkin by Stevens Point Brewery followed by Schlafly Pumpkin
I was just at UW Stevens Point to pick up my GF's bro, so we could go golf at Whistling Straits with their pops. We drank Spotted Cow though lol.

Have that in the fridge right now. Tried it once but can't remember how I felt about it.
I've only had it on draft but I remember being surprised by how much I like it. I haven't had it again yet this year, so maybe I was just too intoxicated to really know.
I'll report back once I try it
Please do. I wasn't even aware that they bottled it, so I may have to see if I can find it.
I'm down to sample as well.

Sam's Club often samples KC whenever they do liquor or wine samples, and I try and get as many as possible.
