Ive got a 3.65 and been practice testing at a 165. Hoping to score around there tomorrow when I take the LSAT. What does that say about my chances? 50/50? or lower?

Maybe a dumb question, I'm the first in my family to go to law school so I don't really have anyone to ask questions to about this kind of stuff!

In general don't start questioning your chances somewhere until you actually have your LSAT score. A lot (if not most) people end up scoring slightly lower on the LSAT than they did on their practice tests, from what I understand. I scored like 3 points below my PT average.

good point. I've got nervous jitters I guess. Talking about it settles the nerves.

I agree about waiting to question your chances after an actual score (believe me, I scored 8 below my last five average PT's), but to answer your question anyway, I would say strictly based on numbers, you have a slightly less than 50/50 chance. That's simply because you'll be slightly below both their medians for the last cycle, and with lsat takers (and high scorers) being up this year, its likely it will, at best, remain the same. I'm in no way saying you shouldn't apply. You have competitive numbers, and you may always do better on the lsat than your tests. Also, you could always retake in February, which I believe USC takes.

Ive heard that if you let the admission department know you are retaking in February they will wait until they receive that score to evaluate your application. But I can't speak to the accuracy of that info. Does anybody know for sure?

"Applications that are completed by February 1 receive priority review both for admission and scholarships. However, we will accept applications through April 1, 2016. This means that applicants who have not taken the LSAT until the February 2016 administration ARE eligible to apply." Straight from their admissions page, just to make sure I'm not mistaken.

Went under "Committee Review 2" as of 12/4.

Well that made me incredibly nauseous.

Application sent yesterday...
Now I have a question:
I had a LSAT score from Oct and also took the Dec LSAT. Will they wait until my second score before reviewing my application?
Thanks!

Application completed 11/4/2015 and still under the 1st committee review. Has anyone committed to the early decision for USC?

I applied ED on 11/15, and my app status has shown "committee 1st read" since 11/19 :? . I wonder what the stats are for ED applicants...

Hi all,
So I have heard that USC usually sends out acceptances around December 18th, however my application still says "complete" and has since 11/16. Wondering if it's still not been viewed does this mean I won't be hearing back by December 18th? How long does it usually take them to reach a decision after it is in review? Just getting so antsy!

My friend was accepted! RD. Not going to share stats because that's not mine to share but it sounds like they are including scholarship in with the acceptance.
