Congrats to all admitted!!! Curious if you can tell me what your status said before you received the email. ie: When did it change from "Complete" to "In Review" to whatever it last was? Thanks

Accepted via phone call this afternoon! They told me that they're having ASW in March and that they sent my scholarship offer in the mail today. Second acceptance for me!

Wow, isn't it rather unusual for scholarships to come this early?

Just from looking at past threads, Wiliam&Mary usually starts sending out acceptances/schollies in early October. If you wanna see "early," go read from the beginning of the UVA thread!

If I understood the email correctly, the offer is included in the admissions packet. (I'll find out for sure in a couple of days) If your numbers are competitive, you should hear something really quickly. Good luck!

Accepted via e-mail this morning. I'm planning on going to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg this month so will plan on checking out the school while down there.

Anyone know/hear generally how generous W&M is with scholarship $$$, particularly to out of state students?
You get in state tuition, along with a small supplemental income (something like 4k a semester IIRC), for doing two things.
1. Keep your GPA in roughly the top 75% of the class. (I think you had to maintain a 3.0 or a 3.1 or something similar).
2. Have a part time job on campus. Research assistant to a prof, or work the circulation desk at the library, something like that. It gets assigned to you within the first week of classes. Almost all the jobs are really low effort, people tend to get paranoid that it'll take time away from studying but it rarely does.
I'd speculate that around 60% to 75% of out of staters get the fellowships. I'd be shocked if it was less than half. It was relatively
rare to meet an out of stater who didn't have a fellowship.
Are you referring to the fellowships from the application? (Where they wanted an essay?) or is this something completely different?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
