My LSATs are not on par to make Cornell a serious school for me, but I have to echo many other comments to say kudos for that banner. As someone who lives north of Scranton, The Office was and is still is my favorite show!

I don't remember if you are a re-applicant, but check your preferences on LSAC. Make sure that your entering term is not set for a previous year as this can cause the schools to look over your profile.benwyatt wrote: I've got not love from Duke or Cornell.

Sure. i think Wol did a good job in general, and I agree with the assessments provided, but here's my take:fips tedora wrote:Would you care to make a run down on the merits of places to go socialize and drink?runthetrap1990 wrote:I would often go on Thursdays and they have a Friday drink social amongst the different graduate students. Often really good specials. I liked it as a nice way to unwind after classes during the Fall. Never went during winter and spring, however.fips tedora wrote:Is the Barn fire to drink at? The specials seem to make me think that I would consume much while there. Actually, a compendium on bars/nightlife would be great.runthetrap1990 wrote:Cornell 2L checking in. Feel free to ask whatever.
Moonies - my jam. This is where utter debauchery takes place amongst law students. Usually a good time, but obviously if you are looking for a mellow place, then this is not the place to go. Most bar tabs by student organizations take place either here or Level B.
Level B - dance "club". I don't like it much, but they have a great wednesday fish bowl deal. Again, not the place to go if you want a mellow night or just hanging out shooting the shit.
Ruloffs - like this place a lot now and they've done a good job revamping it. Basement is still kinda grungy, but the upstairs portion is pretty upbeat and hip. Good place to go to get a drink and hang out/converse/etc. I likely will spend a healthy amount of time here during the semester. Also it looks like they are going to be doing a lot of happy hour specials throughout the week.
Chapter House - this place is was the place to go as your typical "hang out" bar - full of grad students too. I liked it for socializing, though it could get loud. Sadly it burnt down but apparently it's being rebuilt. If it comes back like it was before, expect to come here at least once a week in the early parts of the semester.
Dunbars - I've only been once. Its full of undergrads, which if that's your jam by all means go for it. Cheap drinks, as mentioned earlier, but grimy. Often you'll see a ton of drunk undergrads musing around being drunk undergrads. Give it a try and see if you like it.
Lot 10 - this place confuses me. it's got a bunch of different feels in one bar. Dance-y section in one part, a typical crowded bar in another, and an outdoor portion as well. I've been here a few times and usually enjoy myself. From what I can tell its an older crowd, including grad students, and yuppie locals.
Collegetown Pizza - for whatever reason this place turns into the most ratchet dance club around 1am-2am...even though this is just a pizza place. Worth checking out just to see what I mean.
CTB - this is probably the one place you will most frequent, and over pay for bagel sandwiches while you are at it, but I've seen people getting beer pitchers and chilling on the patio during the summer, fall, and spring. Seems like a nice place to start a night.
There are a few other ones in the Commons, like Ithaca Alehouse (great for watching sports) or Viva, which are nice places to hang out. To be sure, you'll find 1L you'll only be doing a few of these places anyway. It really depends on what you are looking for.

Re: Cornell Law School c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I emailed to ask for a fee waiver, and they told me they send it out a few weeks after each LSAT administration's scores come out. Sadly I didn't sign up for CRS until later, so hopefully we'll get them after October results come in.
