basedvulpes wrote: Also, why don't more people consider Cornell? They have better large firm AND federal clerkship rates than CLS, with comparable amounts of people choosing PI. Cornell is one of the most attractive options for me.

ETA: whoops I read that wrong. But I stand by my point.
Did you read my rant on this in the Cornell thread? basically I disagree, but most people seem to agree with you. Cornell

basedvulpes wrote: Wasn't your argument essentially that CLS gives you a better shot at SCOTUS clerkships? And everyone shut you down?

In that case, please refer back to my comment in the Harvard thread about paying $100,000 for lottery ticket with marginally better odds.
not exactly but close. My argument was that the jump in job placement all around from Cornell to Columbia is similar from Columbia to Yale, in academics, prestige of firm placed, and feeder clerkships. clerkships total numbers were like 49 for cornell, 95 for columbia and 215 for Yale for one year. Columbia has a lot of alums teaching in t-14s and Cornell has like 2. and V-10 placement for Columbia is a lot better.

but if the money is right Cornell can be the better choice, especially depending on what you want to do after you graduate.
