I saw that too but haven't seen anything else. So I am not sure if I call that movement. I hope next week after the long weekend we get a massive wave or two of folks gettting in.

I just got an e-mail saying I am in. Reverse splitter as well... It seems that Penn Law is focusing on GPAs this year.

I was a bit surprised by the 20 figure. Seemed higher than usual, so I'm optimistic.

What did they talk about? They say it is not evaluative, not an interview, and from what you're saying not much info was given about the wait list.

I attended the "non evaluative" meeting for waitlisted candidates last week. They were pretty button-lipped about numbers and the chances of getting accepted, etc. I told them I was accepted at NYU and would happily choose Penn if selected. In retrospect, I really wonder why they even had appointment slots in the first place. For anyone considering, I do not recommend any special effort in scheduling one.

Have to disagree here. I think a huge contributing factor as to why I got off the wait list was because I scheduled this type of this meeting with the admissions office. After talking with the director during my in person "non evaluative" meeting, I was basically offered a seat on the spot. I would strongly encourage anyone who is serious about getting off the wait list to schedule one of these meetings (anything helps right?). PM me for details
