i think nope to both of the above questions (defer off of WL and WL as scholarship leverage)

Re: Harvard Law School c/o 2018 Waitlist
I'd break a lease to go to HLS. But when you start adding up first seat deposits, second seat deposits, and a security deposit for an apartment it starts to get expensive real fast.crookedjaws wrote:Checking in! Actually quite pleased that after so much radio silence it wasn't an automatic ding.
Curious - many housing agreements for other LS have a deadline around mid-May or so. Does that mean that for at least some people, they would need to break their housing agreement in order to accept off the WL? Or do people just not sign the housing agreement (therefore no guaranteed housing) and wing it until they hear back one or the other from JS? The answer seems obvious but I'd like to make sure.

Not sure what "rank" really means, but I'd bet my mother's house that they organize the pool by applicant attributes: LSAT, URM, GPA, etcMajinBuu wrote:No they don't rank their waitlistcalmboat wrote:checking in - does anyone know if Harvard ranks their wl, similar to Berkeley and other schools?

I meant rank like how Berkeley has first quartile, etc, but they say they don't rank it..LSATneurotic wrote:Not sure what "rank" really means, but I'd bet my mother's house that they organize the pool by applicant attributes: LSAT, URM, GPA, etcMajinBuu wrote:No they don't rank their waitlistcalmboat wrote:checking in - does anyone know if Harvard ranks their wl, similar to Berkeley and other schools?

Anyone have the graphs for the decision timelines for 12-13 and 13-14 cycles? 11-12 is here, with waitlist data: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=214072
Could we really expect JSW-->JS2s as early as the 2nd wk of April?

It looks like they had some initial wait lists in January tho in that graph too, did we have that this cycle?Blythe17 wrote:Anyone have the graphs for the decision timelines for 12-13 and 13-14 cycles? 11-12 is here, with waitlist data: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=214072

Anyone know exactly what the column title with all the schools listed under it is in the spreadsheet? Classic Columbia move to write over the title - essentially the TLS equivalent of ripping out a page at the library

Re: Harvard Law School c/o 2018 Waitlist
As far as I know, we didn't see any WLs this year until this week. On LSN, earliest WL this year was 3/25. So perhaps we'll have to wait longer this year for WL-->JS2s, unfortunately...DK21 wrote:It looks like they had some initial wait lists in January tho in that graph too, did we have that this cycle?Blythe17 wrote:Anyone have the graphs for the decision timelines for 12-13 and 13-14 cycles? 11-12 is here, with waitlist data: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=214072

I think Harvard was doing a "held" status that year still and those January waitlists might have actually been people who were heldDK21 wrote:It looks like they had some initial wait lists in January tho in that graph too, did we have that this cycle?Blythe17 wrote:Anyone have the graphs for the decision timelines for 12-13 and 13-14 cycles? 11-12 is here, with waitlist data: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=214072
