Did any of you admitted get an email w scholarship/merit award? If so, how long between the 'admitted' email to the 'scholarship/merit award' email?

Applied 1/9 and in today via email. Probably won't be attending because I doubt the scholorship will make the school competive against William and Mary for me. Plus even though I'm from the Bay Area the thought of living in SF for 3 years doesn't do it for me

For those of you admitted students, do you mind posting your numbers or even a narrow range of your numbers if you don't want to be exact?

I was right around the 50th percentile for both the LSAT and the GPA.baygrad18 wrote:For those of you admitted students, do you mind posting your numbers or even a narrow range of your numbers if you don't want to be exact?

Oh awesome! Congrats to you. I am at the median GPA and 25th LSAT. So it's a longshot for me.zeda wrote:I was right around the 50th percentile for both the LSAT and the GPA.baygrad18 wrote:For those of you admitted students, do you mind posting your numbers or even a narrow range of your numbers if you don't want to be exact?

well that's not necessarily true. You probably have a good chance at it. they actually do read applications so I think you've got a chance as long as you have something to set you apartbaygrad18 wrote:Oh awesome! Congrats to you. How long did it take for you to hear back? (and congratulations on your acceptance!)

Don't think anyone responded to this yet?miamiri wrote:Did any of you admitted get an email w scholarship/merit award? If so, how long between the 'admitted' email to the 'scholarship/merit award' email?
Got in today, applied early January and went complete about a week later. Good luck to everyone still waiting/waitlisted - have a feeling lots of schools will have big wait lists this year and there's still a good chance for lots of admits after the seat deposit deadline.

Per email on 1/30: "All admitted students are considered for merit scholarships and no additional application form is required. We expect to begin notifying students about merit awards next week."Liz_Lemon wrote:Don't think anyone responded to this yet?miamiri wrote:Did any of you admitted get an email w scholarship/merit award? Got waitlisted. Above both 75%'s and law school predictor recommended Hastings as a 'safety net' school. How's waitlist a 'safety net'?

Could be a YP waitlist. Don't know if Hastings does YP, but if you're above both 75th with no C&F issues, that could be it.illegally_blonde wrote:Got waitlisted. Above both 75%'s and law school predictor recommended Hastings as a 'safety net' school. How's waitlist a 'safety net'?

Re: UC Hastings c/o 2018 (2014-2015 cycle)
strange. i suggest applying to santa clara. I loved the people there both times I visited. At the admitted students day the professors all approached everyone there individually and I learned that there is a lot of potential for anyone who is willing to work hard. I was impressed. You might have a very good chance to come off the waitlist with such good numbers though...illegally_blonde wrote:Got waitlisted. Re: UC Hastings c/o 2018 (2014-2015 cycle)
You're getting yield-protected. Hastings will probably admit you later via phone call if you tell them you'll accept. But because your stats are so strong, UCH doesn't thinks you'll attend if they admit you, and are trying to protect their yield.illegally_blonde wrote:Got waitlisted. Seriously? What are you waiting for?
