I tried to negotiate my scholarship and got denied outright. But today (a day after said email) got notified of an additional $1000 scholarship. Interesting. Even though they don't "negotiate," I think it influenced them a little...

Waitlisted! Kinda bummed, but going to hang out on the waitlist as long as I can...

This was my email from Northeastern regarding the waitlist. The subject of the email was "Waitlist Update"

Dear [Student],

I write to update you on the status of our waiting list and to inform you that you have been selected, as one of a small number of candidates, for a special priority transfer program.

While the Admissions Committee identified you as a strong waiting list candidate, unfortunately we are unable to admit you to the first-year class at this time. However, we are pleased to offer you a special opportunity to enroll next year at Northeastern as a transfer student in recognition of your academic potential and fit with our program. Under the priority transfer option, we will guarantee you a seat in our second-year class, subject to the requirements below.
