Re: George Washington c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Hey folks, GW's personal statement is 2 pages, double spaced. I can achieve that without re-writing if I use 10 font. There is no guidance for font, but I am not sure 10 is big enough. Any advice on this?
Oh, yeah just in case anyone asks. I am applying ED. I have already applied to my range of schools, so I would not be breaking GW's rules and this school would be my best shot at good employment if I do get accepted ED. If not, no harm-no foul. It's a calculated shot in the dark.

10 is probably a little small. and GW's ED comes with a full ride (like NU) - it's for people with at least above median numbers, and mostly above 75th percentile numbers.RCSOB657 wrote:Hey folks, GW's personal statement is 2 pages, double spaced. I know, thanks Xylo for the advice on size. Being rejected is only going to cost me the report fee. I have no interest in EDing anywhere else. Hope you get a great scholy package from them.xylocarp wrote:10 is probably a little small. and GW's ED comes with a full ride (like NU) - it's for people with at least above median numbers, and mostly above 75th percentile numbers.RCSOB657 wrote:Hey folks, GW's personal statement is 2 pages, double spaced. Re: George Washington c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Does anyone know if they reject straight from early decision or do they automatically defer to regular decision? I applied ED and my status checker says decision made. Can anyone tell me what that means?

Same here. Also, I'm not sure why it takes up to 10 days to send an email.hirsch40p wrote:Does anyone know if they reject straight from early decision or do they automatically defer to regular decision? I applied ED and my status checker says decision made. Can anyone tell me what that means?

It takes them 8-12 weeks to reach a decision and send it to you after the file goes complete. This is according to the status tracker.hdaze wrote:Same here. Right, I guess what I was asking was are they currently still within that 12 week time frame? They have decision made, I am going to assume (bad thing) that since it wasn't instantaneously put on their tracker that they will be mailed the decision?xylocarp wrote:their status checkers say decision made.RCSOB657 wrote:It takes them 8-12 weeks to reach a decision and send it to you after the file goes complete. I am at a complete loss as to how your original comment had anything to do with what was quoted. what does the 8-12 weeks have to do with anything now that the decision is made?RCSOB657 wrote:Right, I guess what I was asking was are they currently still within that 12 week time frame? anyway, all decisions are emailed, and the status checker doesn't update to say anything except for "decision made"

Re: George Washington c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
The tracker said that time frame included telling the applicants the results after a decision was made, but sure it has nothing to do with crossing over from ED rejection to their normal admissions list.xylocarp wrote:I am at a complete loss as to how your original comment had anything to do with what was quoted. what does the 8-12 weeks have to do with anything now that the decision is made?RCSOB657 wrote:Right, I guess what I was asking was are they currently still within that 12 week time frame? Sorry to hear that Raider, especially if it was within your reach. Good luck in your other applications.

in via email a few minutes ago. status checker changed to "decision made" earlier today (so it doesn't take 10 days...). submitted 10/22.

Waitlisted and GW is my #1 choice as well... argh. So the painful waiting process beings. Anyone have any timeline on how the waitlist went last year? Congrats to those who got in!

In via email. Somewhat surprised I heard back so soon considering I'm a reverse splitter. Figured it would be awhile.
