Been stuck on "All Required Documents Received" since 10/30. Wondering if any one has had any movement lately?

Is initial review the same as, "Comparative Review in Progress"?
That's my status.

No. This is from a recent email from admissions:floridaxrose wrote:Is initial review the same as, "Comparative Review in Progress"?

Key Terms
Application Received, Processing File: Your application was received and our office is currently processing and verifying documents.
Application Missing Required Documents: These applications are missing required* documents. This status will change once all the required documents are received and processed by our office.
All Required Documents Received: All required* documents were received and the file will soon move to the Admissions Committee for review.
Under Initial Review by Committee: The file is complete and the Admissions Committee is currently evaluating the file.
Comparative Review in Progress: This is NOT a wait list decision. The Committee has reviewed the file, however, a decision has not yet been made on the file. The file will continue to be evaluated as other applications are received. Applicants who have updates to their files such as transcripts and LSAT scores will be re-evaluated by the Admissions Committee based on the new information. Final decisions will be made no later than the end of April, but it is possible that some candidates may hear earlier.
Final Decision Reached, Notice Issued: The Committee has reached a final decision on your application and a decision notice was issued. Usually the decision notice will be received by the applicant within 3-10 days.

Is the comparative review generally because someone is signed up for a new LSAT?louisv123 wrote:No. This is from a recent email from admissions:floridaxrose wrote:Is initial review the same as, "Comparative Review in Progress"?

No everyone is subjected to a comparative review before a decision.legallyrose wrote:Is the comparative review generally because someone is signed up for a new LSAT?louisv123 wrote:No. This is from a recent email from admissions:floridaxrose wrote:Is initial review the same as, "Comparative Review in Progress"?

Yeah, what would be the point of an "initial" review if everyone would have to go through a comparative review? Might as well be "comparative review" from the start

Re: University of Florida Levin College of Law c/o 2018
I looked through last year's threads and those in similar positions as us (turned our apps in early in Sept/Oct) will hear back by mid-January. I am thinking about sending in a LOCI in December because that will be 3 months since I went complete. Anyone thinks this is a good/bad idea? I have already written it LOL. I can pm it to anyone who is kind enough to offer advice.Uschoolqb10 wrote:So what is the consensus for how much longer us comparative folks wait?

I think February is too late. I am sure those in the 150+ hear back in early January to late January the latest.MikeM-law wrote:165+ within the next week or so. 160+ probably mid December. That's more if you're wait listed and classes are getting ready to start. Would definitely hold off on that.legallyrose wrote:I looked through last year's threads and those in similar positions as us (turned our apps in early in Sept/Oct) will hear back by mid-January. My status just changed. It's listed as changing yesterday but must have been late yesterday cause I checked. It says final decision reached, notice issued. I guess they don't use email? Does anyone know if scholarship info comes via Mail with decision?

Highly doubtful. I'm in at UGA/FSU so far and they both have committees convene after they admit the first round or so to talk $$. Maybe UF already had those meetings since they're sending out their first acceptances later than FSU/UGA but I still doubt we'll get anything in the initial package. I did email a Dean I've been in contact with to ask, I can PM you any important info he tells me
