We will negotiate for scholly's together!dmarieb wrote:I'm from Clearwater (Tampa area for those not familiar) but went to UCF and moved to Ft. Lauderdale this year for my husband's job. I am NOT a fan of South Florida but am almost certainly stuck here due to husband's job, so applying to Miami, FIU, and Nova just to be safe. Also applying to FSU because husband will consider moving there since there are lots of jobs for him there. UF is a no go for husband's work. Moving out of state is also a no go. So hoping for Miami at this point, but not looking forward to potentially having to pay sticker.

On "No final decision has been made, hold category" status...
I REALLY don't want to wait until April 30th to hear back...Please don't tell me it takes that long. #1 reason why I applied so early was to hear back.

158..and I've already taken in twice (same score despite 2 diff courses and 20 hours of tutoring). I can't take it in December. Last time I took the LSAT was in June and there is no way I am prepared to take it in 6 weeks.MikeM-law wrote:What were your numbers? I think you're in with 154 (unless you have like a sub 3.5 GPA). They are just waiting to see what the scores are for other applicants. Remember they had like 55% acceptance rate last cycle with the median being around 157. I think you will hear back before then but worst case scenario you're probably looking at significant money to Nova/St. Thomas...

I have a 3.7 gpa! I am not applying to either Nove or St. Thomas - UM, FSU, and UF!

Generally speaking you should always have 2 safety schools. And especially if the only other schools are uf and fsu. 154 is definitely on the low end for those schools. I think it's def doable for UM but idk about uf/fsu.

I got an acceptance phone call two days later with my 3.3 and 163. Hoping for a decent scholarship.

According to the ABA calculator you have a 75% chance of admission although I think that's very generousbanjokazooie wrote:Shooting mine off as soon as LSAC gets all my stuff. 153/3.67. Wish I could retake but can't unfortunately. Fingers crossed. You guys think I'll get in?
