In via email today! (Complete 11/13)
Judging from other recently admitted posters in this thread, it looks like this cycle's decisions are starting to roll out. Good luck everybody!

In review as of yesterday. I am OOS, so if it is the case they did in state people first I guess they are getting to the larger pool now. Also applied pretty early so take it for what it's worth

Just got a scholarship offer via email. Not very substantial though, hoping more is on its way.

I received a scholarship as well. When would they get back with a higher offer or does it normally not change?

They're usually pretty stingy and generally end up right about same as SMU for COA.

Received scholarship and in-state tuition, even though I'm OOS. Effectively 50% tuition. Quite generous, really, considering I was expecting them to be a little tighter on the purse strings as was promised on here.

Complete on 12/5 and in review today 1/12. How long has it been taking to get a decision after going into review?

I think it varies- mine went "in review" on 17/11 and I had a decision on 05/01, but some with the same "in-review" day heard back earlier.

Ok thanks! I submitted just in time for early decision, and I think they try to get those done by the end of January so hopefully I'll hear something soon!

Did anyone receive two date changes? I applied on 11/3 with first date change on 11/21 and a second date change on 1/8. I applied for the joint program with the University of Calgary, so maybe that's why I have two date changes instead of one..? Has anyone experienced something similar?

Was the first change when it went "complete" and the next one when it went "in review?"

Both were for review. I don't recall my complete date off hand, but it was near the beginning of November.jbmullin wrote:Was the first change when it went "complete" and the next one when it went "in review?"

If I recall, I think I remember an email telling me that "Your date may change while your status remains the same. This is simply for administrative purposes, and has nothing to do with your decision."LawGirlAtx wrote:Both were for review. Yeah I remember that too, so maybe it is just moving to the next stage of the review process.ilikebaseball wrote:If I recall, I think I remember an email telling me that "Your date may change while your status remains the same. In Review as of a few hours ago. Is the turnaround pretty quick for decisions?
above 75th LSAT, below 25th GPA. In state
edit: Just checked again, actually just slightly above 25th GPA haha

Received in state tuition scholarship plus $1,000 a year. Pretty tempted to go here. I've also been doing research on it's jobs and starting salaries and those numbers look really good. Can't fathom why UH ranks low lol.

Does UH Law give full tuition scholarships? I feel like they don't... Unless you are a 17X/3.9X

Re: University of Houston Law Center c/o 2018 Applicants
Its actually sorta rare for any law school to give full tuition just based on merit. From every school I'm applying to, they'll offer a TON of money, but if you want a full ride, you have to fill out some separate application and do an interview or something like that. I would doubt UH gives out full rides just based on merit, but I could be wrong. Tbh, I haven't even looked lolPhattypattyfrost wrote:Does UH Law give full tuition scholarships?
