Any action lately? Acceptances, rejections, letters confessing Emory's love for you?

Well that is just disappointing. I don't know why I applied to Law School. I don't have the patience for this haha.Dulman wrote:Complete since 11/3 with no movement. "Now that your application is complete, our Admission Committee will review your file. You will be notified of a decision beginning in mid-February through April 2015. "

I'm really enjoying the fact that I DO NOT have to worry about this school yet.

Agreed. Having one less status checker to neurotically refresh is a mercy.caliplaw wrote:I'm really enjoying the fact that I DO NOT have to worry about this school yet.

Hi, this is Ethan Rosenzweig, dean of admission and financial aid at Emory Law. I appreciate your indulging my posts from time-to-time. We are gearing up to begin inviting applicants to join our community, and I wanted to update everyone on our process:
Application Submissions: The Scholarship Committee has just begun the initial stages of its review of admission files, and I encourage folks to begin getting their applications in so that we can make sure everyone has full opportunity for the maximum financial aid. Don't worry; our deadlines have not past, so there is still plenty of time. Also, we do accept the February LSAT, and ask that you submit your application before the scores are released so we can begin preparing your file.
Decision Notification: A few decisions will be communicated before February with the bulk of them being sent out the 2nd week of February through the end of March. Traditionally, our decision letter also includes scholarship information; however, this year, a few admittees will receive their decision letter separately in order to give our scholarship committee a little more time to review the files. We communicate decisions via U.S. Mail, Fedex, and email. I am trying to figure out the ideal method to communicate the admission results; thus, I appreciate your feedback to my queries and surveys on this part of the process.
Woodruff Fellowship: Our Woodruff Fellowship (full scholarship plus stipend) deadline is coming up. This is the largest scholarship we offer through a special process for students with impeccable leadership, community impact, and academic credentials. To learn more, go to http://www.law.emory.edu/woodruff.
That is all I have for now. Thanks for making my job so fulfilling. I do hope to read your application soon. If you have any questions or need anything, just give me a shout via jdadmisison(a)emory.edu.

Re: Emory: Class of 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
personally speaking from one person's experience, i liked it when schools notify me of initial decision (acceptance, waitlist, or denial) via email. then scholarship info included in the acceptance package via USPS. no need for FedEx, as it exacerbates the level of anxiety in checking for FedEx updates.EmoryAdmissionDean wrote:

this is only my opinion though.
thank you !!

I think this is the best way also, short of acceptance via phone call.LawsRUs wrote:personally speaking from one person's experience, i liked it when schools notify me of initial decision (acceptance, waitlist, or denial) via email. then scholarship info included in the acceptance package via USPS. no need for FedEx, as it exacerbates the level of anxiety in checking for FedEx updates.EmoryAdmissionDean wrote:

Does anyone have speculation on why Emory delays admissions decisions until February? It seems like an odd choice when most schools have rolling decisions from September/October.
