This is indeed the case. LSAC will perform an extra rounding step. They multiply the GPA coefficient by number of credits per SEMESTER, then divide (rounded to two digits), and then they weigh that semester up against other semesters. This is opposed to multiplying the GPA coefficient by number of TOTAL credits and then dividing, which is what the "predictor" does.
Unlikely you'll ever see more than a 0.01 change either way.
NOTE: I'm always amused at the label "predictor"-- it's pretty simple arithmetic, not a magic-8 ball
