Last year was the first year they did that, IIRC. I haven't heard if they're doing it again.xylocarp wrote:I just read here that Northwestern waived the app fee for anyone who applied before November 5! Does anyone know if they're doing that again this year?

Just making sure - that's early as in before Nov 5, not early as in ED, right?yashranade wrote:I called them up the other day. $100 application fee waiver for all those who apply early

Anyone know if ED still comes with the 50k/year scholarship?

lol... I think NU gives more of a boost to splitters with W/E than other schools do, but I don't think that means they ding KJDs with great numbers... you guys will be fine!
smccgrey is right. There are lots of us starting in the fall. Message me or other KJDs from the Class of 2017 thread if you have questions about being KJD and applying to NU

Oh you'll be fine!! As a person who is unjustly fearful of this younger crowd, I just like to imagine NU just goes for the KJDs who have the sense of purpose/drive a few years of work experience (can) give a person...which I expect is a lot of TLS KJDs.xylocarp wrote:we're all going to get rejectedeverything_bagel wrote:So many KJDs!
</0L speculation>
edit: TBH I thought the WE thing was a lot of self-selection...evidently not.

On LSAC it says the application opens on the 15th, rather than the 1st that I had seen reported. Not a big deal, just odd.

Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2018 Applicants
Hello all. 2 things. Did anyone attend the online admissions event today about interviewing? I had to work, so I missed it, but just wanted to know if anyone here was able to catch it?
Also, anyone know anything about the AJD program? I want to apply, but I don't think I have enough WE to qualify as in 6+ years of experience or managerial experience. Anyone have any insight if it's still worth applying or how that would look during OCI? I didn't see anything, so I thought I'd ask you all. Thanks

I remember reading awhile ago that only like 2 students got into the AJD without significant WE. I could be wrong as this was probably over a year ago I read it.MadwomanintheAttic wrote:Also, anyone know anything about the AJD program? It's not for splitters, so unless you're like a 3.6/175 splitter I wouldn't think sodabigchina wrote:3 years of w/e (4 years on matric) checking in.

Just submitted the form. Hope it's just a technicality at this point.rebexness wrote:I'm assuming people have received their FW from that online form? What did you use as your attachment? And what (generic) did you use for your "why should i get this waiver"- did you go financial or merit reasons?

You didn't answer the 'Why'? I had no idea what to put, either.Dream_weaver32 wrote:Just submitted the form.
