Is Cornell considered splitter friendly? I searched around and the consensus seemed to be that it's between mildly friendly and neutral. Also, do we know if their early decision provides a boost? I know early decision is generally frowned upon on tls because of missing the scholly money, but I'm just curious

Cornell seems about neutral on splitter friendliness. The lowest GPAs Cornell usually accepts are ≈3.3. So Cornell probably isn't the best option for a super splitter, but those with an LSAT ≥168 seem to fare well as long as their GPA is above that ≈3.25-3.3 floor. Check out the Cornell graphs on Law School Numbers and read through some of the posts on http://admissionsbythenumbers.blogspot.com/ (the blog isn't fully up-to-date) to get a better feel for admissions trends at Cornell.

The Early Decision option will only be in its second year this cycle, so TLS doesn't have much data/knowledge about it. The Cornell ED site seems to suggest that ED helps a bit (though, I wouldn't advise doing ED in most cases).

I agree: Ithaca really isn't that cold compared to northern U.S./Canadian cities. It's very snowy, but Boston and Chicago are both colder including wind chill.

Don't get me wrong. I'm one of the few people that never complain about the weather there. It was about 10 degrees colder than NYC on average--no big deal.

But I think "cold" was an accurate answer.

And I apologize if my posts have a dark edge to them this week. See: OCI

While browsing through Cornell's website trying to get some extra study-motivation I happened upon some pictures of Sage Chapel. Absolutely stunning is all I can say. I would love to go to Mass there... [Cornell Hype Intensifying]

I think you'll be just fine at UVA, Duke, Gtown, Stanford, or Berkeley...

I feel like Duke's got to be fairly consistent.
