I know the summer term deposit was due in November, at least if applying ED. Non binding though.

Anyone have any thoughts on the "DON'T GO TO BAYLOR UNDER ANY CONDITIONS" comments that seem to litter every thread on the topic?

Applied for Spring on 10/21 (The day I received my September LSAT scores), status still says Application Complete. Any idea on when I may get a decision?

Re: Baylor Law School c/o 2018 Applicants
From all the threads/comments I've seen about it, I have yet to actually see input from someone who GOES (or even went) to Baylor law... The fact that it's discussed so much makes me weary, but also very skeptical.gregisannoying wrote:Anyone have any thoughts on the "DON'T GO TO BAYLOR UNDER ANY CONDITIONS" comments that seem to litter every thread on the topic?

The reason you don't see it in this thread is that the Acceptances/Denials/WL forum is not the appropriate forum for discussing choice of school.gregisannoying wrote:Anyone have any thoughts on the "DON'T GO TO BAYLOR UNDER ANY CONDITIONS" comments that seem to litter every thread on the topic?

I've spoken to multiple alumni of Baylor law and they each echoed the sentiments of TLS. Good school, but only go if it's basically free, you only want to do litigation, have no interest in big law, are prepared to be completely miserable 3L because of practice court, and have no problem living in Waco.bizzy531 wrote:From all the threads/comments I've seen about it, I have yet to actually see input from someone who GOES (or even went) to Baylor law... It's definitely in my top 4. I went and visited. The campus is absolutely beautiful, although Waco is definitely not haha. I actually like the idea of practice court because of the experience it offers, even if it is brutal. I'm mostly concerned about job prospects. The lady said they place all over Texas, but a large chunk of their graduates end up in Dallas which means they are competing with grads from schools actually IN Dallas..crayNow wrote:Admitted before thanksgiving w/ 30k per year... anyone thinking about going here??

Decision sent on 1/13. From the looks of this thread, it might take a little while.

Re: Baylor Law School c/o 2018 Applicants
I got my letter as well as a full tuition scholarship. They do have a rather early date for my seat deposit. I haven't heard back from any other schools yet and my seat deposit is due on the 13th of February.
Hopefully other schools get back to me soon. Baylor does look really amazing though and Waco seems like a really nice place for my wife and our daughter to live.
We'll see what the future holds. Did anyone else apply for Summer 2015?

I assume that's the deposit date for Summer. Standard deposit dates for fall start are April or later.Karamazov wrote:I got my letter as well as a full tuition scholarship. Sent exactly a week ago. I'm on the west coast, so a bit of a ways away.ilikebaseball wrote:Nice! How long did it take to get to you? FYI took me two weeks to get the letter once it had been "mailed" back in November and I live in Houston.ilikebaseball wrote:Ugh, I hate the wait... decision letter has been mailed per status check.

Haha I think that would be the fastest reception time yet by far. Go back to page 2 and start reading about 1/3 of the way down...ilikebaseball wrote:dammit lol. I think "mailed" means "letter printed and sitting in work-study student's inbox waiting to be folded, enveloped, and posted, but since s/he works 3-5 hours a week, don't hold your breath."
